Paper Tiger Television (PTTV) is an open, non-profit, volunteer video collective. Through the production and distribution of our public access series, media literacy/video production workshops, community screenings and grassroots advocacy PTTV works to challenge and expose the corporate control of mainstream media. Militarism in America After "Platoon"
Professor Rick Berg and San Diego activist Carol Jahnkow identify the pervasive, yet often unnoticed presence of militarism in American society. Berg examines the way in which the film Platoon (and others like it) have become the most widely accepted historical realities of the Vietnam War, so much so that they have almost completely displaced the actual event. We go from Hollywood to San Diego, where local peace activist Carol Jahnkow decries the massive military build up that has been taking place in the San Diego Harbor. This video provides a varied and interesting look at the way in which military culture and the production of war have become seemingly innocuous part of our daily lives.

Comment 21: "Fresh data indicates that Indian sugar mills produced 11.56 tonnes of sugar in the first three months of the 2021/2022 marketing year, a 4.3% increase from the same period in the previous year." This is my "double flight plan" right? 5:08 pm CST Jan. 6, 2022

24:39 "Continental also protests that GSA made factual errors in its evaluations of line items 1063 and 3365, resulting in improper awards to United. Continental contends that GSA failed to give its proposal credit for two nonstop flights (one in each direction) for each line item even though its proposal offered the nonstop flights. Continental asserts that if the evaluation had given it credit for the nonstop service, its proposal would have been deemed most advantageous to the government and it would have been awarded a contract for these line items." 4:58 pm CST Jan. 6, 2022
