this gameplay is from season 9, i've been stuck between g3 and p5 since the big changes from season 9 even though i've peaked plat 1 in season 8. I thought it would be kinda fun to make videos sort of (kind of) documenting my climb forward from gold and hopefully help mercy players who are in the same boat after struggling for so long. currently i'm plat 5 and I want to make more of these vids ...

I’ve started playing Mercy seriously this season. I dropped down to Gold 3, but I’m just hard stuck from Gold 3 to Gold 2. I used to be Gold 1.

As a fellow Mercy main, I think the worst thing we suffer from are super toxic teammates who just NEVER want to group up💀 It’s great being blamed for legit everything. Sometimes it feels like you can play like a Top 500 player and they’ll still complain.
yeah I just played with a smurf yesterday and apparently we were losing cuz I was on mercy, even tho he was running it down 😂toxic teammates definitely suck, nice lil mute never hurts tho
Honestly I love Mercy Zen, the high risk high reward is very fun to play with. And ball Sombra isn't the worst, just Sombra needs to hack health packs more often so her and ball can get healing without going to you guys+ Minimizing the amount of time they're out of combat. Venture is def not the best second dps for this, but Zen orb does stick with them in the ground so they can still get healing!
I agree, I find the less conventional support combos, (mercy lucio/zen) it's usually more fun to play with. I say they're the worst because at least in my games my tanks and dps are very stubborn and tend to die on their own and blame me for some reason. zen def has some decent synergy with venture though and overall really strong

I really dont think we need a huge rework, I think slightly longer beams and better healing per second alone could be a great step forward.. also yeahh shes so boring :/

Damage boosting is nice but it would be nice if the people i boosted actually hit their shots. I cant boost any damage when their damage is zero. Quit comp a long time ago so at least there’s no toxicity when i boost instead of heal but like it still kinda sucks how you can be doing everything u can and it means nothing
yeah I get what you mean. what rank were you before you quit? for me in plat/dia elo i’ll typically get 1000-2000 dmg amp but they just struggle to finish off the kills
@@harafia quit in overwatch 1 but i was usually mid-plat to low-diamond. (If i played now i would probably just be hardstuck plat because it seems harder to play these days) I was just tired of the mid-elo people thining they deserved gm lmao. Our dps would manage to get some kills witht the damage boost but a lot of my damage boosting came from our dps hitting tanks. After i golt mercy’s golden weapon i quit entirely and tbh casual ow has been a lot more fun
trueee, I end up damage boosting my tank for most of the rounds too without even realizing it bc my dps don’t do enough dmg at times lmao. for sure if comp isn’t doin it for you don’t force urself. i’m glad casuals are more fun

Getting out of plat on mercy is painful. That's why I push my alt to diamond as soon as possible. Plat 1 has the most hardstuck players too.

I dont really feel countered on mercy, I swap depending on if my team is struggling to the point where we can't progress at all. if I do go against one of those I just try to play based off their playstyle

Thank you! I’m actually tired of people saying that she’s no longer of use in games, when that statement just isn’t true. And that statement can be said about every character if they aren’t doing their job

Mercy pairs well with good Dive Tanks. I like to duo with a Mercy main and they get lots of praise from Winston and Doomfist mains. If I could recommend a buff for Mercy, it would be to make her beams ignore 10% of the DPS passive on targets below 50% HP.
What changes you think should happen to make mercy better in your opinion?
Dramatically increase how much she heals per sec & her damage boost needs a slight increase. Though dev say they happy where mercy is currently at & might improve her movement option 💀
they need to fix her GA glitches because it genuinely costs me the game sometimes. I think her movement is really fun otherwise. also her healing per second should be increased even at least slightly, she gets outdone at healing than every other healer.

Haha, I totally agree: Being picked up by someone as Mercy is indeed one of the best moments in the game, it shows thoughtfulness and that people actually think about supports (if of course realisable at that moment). Great gameplay, was very nice to listen to/watch! :)

As someone who's main has been dumpstered consistently I feel for you; don't visit the SymmetraMains subreddit it's depressing. I wouldn't drop Mercy either if she's my favorite hero, I like her Reaper style mask for the mythic skin with the Moira colour scheme.
it's really not fun having your main character declared shitty because the developers just cast them into the corner cuz they dont wanna balance them according to the meta :/ we must have hope tho 💪thats a good choice !! I have that exact combo in one of my loadouts
