stop believing in these ridiculous QS rankings. They don't correspond to reality. Especially the UK universities they are just money making machines Their teaching is poor and the evaluation methods are ridiculous. Universities are designed to make students pass in order to make room for the next ones to maximise their profits. Italian or French Universities are way better both in teaching and research.

Hey there, why did you stop the stream? Just wondering.

No genuine academician takes these rankings too seriously. All these different rankings work in a complimentary manner as a team. Lot of junk Universities from China are placed on top while genuinely top Universities in Germany, Russia, etc. are marginalized. While there is a lot of politics in Nobel Prizes yet some genuine deserving people have won this Prize. China to this day has only one Prize in science for work done in China that of Tu Youyou, Even that work was mediocre! Then there are tiny schools like the Rockefeller University, Caltech, Cooper Union, etc. which are a class apart and only meant mainly for geniuses which are not in the domain of usual universities. In the end to make a choice of an institution a student must consult a genuine expert in that academic subject.
