The solo duel thing didn't even need a clone for the sake of making it a tag duel. All they had to do was give Kagemaru a dueling robot that put fodder on the field to let him bring out the sacred beasts. It's not like those didn't exist in previous Yugioh games AND the anime at that point, and I assume the bad guy that has a high tech life support machine can easily afford one of those if he needs one.

The gba version is too much funnier

I was interested in the TF series because (Alexis was a childhood crush so i’ll just straight out as a teenager it felt like that thing) but mostly because i notice there was a continuity of the Character. Most YGO and other games don’t really have that but at least for TF 1-3 there are plenty of events and dialogue mentions that made it feel like your character was actually apart of the world recalls to actual anime and game events that made it seem your character has been there the entire time of the GX cast. No usual “This event is going on and your Player made character enters stage now.” And for a guy who was big into GX and watched the whole anime a part of you did like the feeling you played a character who was part of the whole story.

Six, technically already has a translation. As it was the basis for one of the other games that was released in English. I forget if it's Eternal duelist Soul or worldwide edition. But 1 of those 2 is basically the equivalent of the definitive edition of 6 if I recall my Yu-Gi-Oh game history correctly.

the game isn't hard, it's 100% rng. outside of deck building you have 0 choices to make each turn since all you do is drop the strongest creature possible

I'm actually kinda surprised no one has mentioned the card code feature in the shop where you could enter a Cards set id to get 1 copy of that card. I remember my dad and I breaking our tins out upon finding that option and trying every card we had. Which looking back on sucked for me cause he had the pre built Kaiba and Pegasus decks while I had Yugi and Joey's decks. We would end up eventually printing off a list of all the cards available in the game which soon got replaced by a list of all cards but with their Action Replay. I did come back to this as an adult and used a second memory card to new game twice for a 2nd and 3rd blue eyes that I traded over to memcard 1 so that I could just have 3 Blue Eyes at the start of the game. Could be wrong but I feel like I managed to cheese my way through the game in 2-3 days.

Yu-Gi-Oh tag force 6 is freaky fr

Tag force games are the best yugioh games ever made with technical limitations of the time. You paid once, you got all the cards up the release of the game, you bought them in packs like IRL, there were no micro-transactions. There were a ton of bots of various difficulty and huge deck variety to play against, their decks upgraded as you leveled up. And there were tag duels if you so desired. It had everything in one package. Also if you play it on the PS Vita you can use the on-screen touch keyboard like a phone, instead of typing with the d-pad. Then you could also play with friends and trade cards with them. All they had to do is keep making those games for more modern systems and we would be extremely happy. Master Duel and Legacy of the duelist can't hold a candle to Tag Force outside of quality of life features.

Unlock all cards is great as these games were kinda broken unable to use some cards because of missing data or were just not available to the players without a cheat cartage

Number 6 is not getting translated because we got an updated internstional release of it as Stairway To Destiny Duel.

There is precedence of companies re-releasing NDS games on collections. Case in point, from Konami themselves. Castlevania Dominus Collection. I for one would love a compilation of Nightmare Troubadour, Spirit Caller and World Championship 2007-2011. The only problem is you'd be missing WC06 on the GBA but you could just have that there too.

Believe me when i say that i get 99% of the Tag Force 1/ The Beginning Of Destiny from PS2 and the ONLY stupid IA there is Daimon and Jaden (By stupid reassons). The ONLY problem i see its that in comparation to the PSP game, its way too slow and laggy in some animations and on the final boss turns animations. The notorious problem its that you can't get the special cards from PSP without the cable (or using some wierd program to connect on an emulator), but yes, there some hidden cards like Zombie World and the Camula trumph card that i don't even remember the name used on the Anime to defeat Zane with his own Cyber Final Dragon. There too some Destiny Heroes and Neo-Spacian Heroes that can't be generated normally by the Labs Machine as well.

People really were concerned there wouldn't be a translation on an international release? Konami is stupid, yes, but they're more greedy than they are stupid and lazy, even they would realize people would not fucking buy games that they couldn't play because they're in a language they can't understand.

I wanted to write my own thoughts down here. I'm a new viewer, so please forgive me if I don't know things you've already discussed before. 1. I was also in the camp that they'd translate the games for two reasons: 1) They showed a screenshot of DM4 in English on the official Amazon listing a few months back. 2) The official website specifically mentioned that DM6 wouldn't be translated, but didn't extend that comment to the other games, implying they WOULD receive translations. I'm happy this is the case. I see this collection as a piece of the game's history, one that sadly the Western Audience wasn't allowed to enjoy. (Not in their native language, at least) 2. I'm also disappointed by the "acquire cards" cheat seeming to be their solution to acquiring previously attainable cards, but I think having that cheat code is *INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT* and shouldn't be heavily criticised. Why? A LOT of Yugioh games play nearly identical to one another. And because they were released in the 2000s, they were given insanely tedious, mind-numbingly dull grinds to acquire the cards you actually want to use. Including this cheat code is excellent as it provides an optional setting for players to skip the grind if they want, and in varying degrees! (I personally will only give myself 1 copy of every card, but having the option to go up to 9 is very much appreciated). Secondly, with regards to online play, allowing players to easily get 3 copies of every card will make running online tournaments much easier since you don't have to ask every player to grind one specific game out of 14 options just to build a decent deck. And thirdly, while changing some bytes in memory to modify drop tables isn't difficult, it IS tedious. Try doing that across potentially 14 games. It would also potentially upset the game preservation crowd since the game would have been changed in a gameplay-altering way. (Just imagine the potential outcry that could occur if they include Forbidden Memories in a future collection and make the game easier by allowing you to actually obtain the Pocket Station exclusive cards in game.) Is this solution lazy? Yeah. But it solves a lot of different issues that would arise with this collection all at once. Keep in mind that the average person who is aware of Yugioh probably doesn't want to spend 30+ hours in each game just to beat them or to build their favorite decks. The average person aware of Yugioh just wants to slam down a Blue-Eyes on the table and beat Seto Kaiba. This optional cheat allows them to get to that point faster. 3. We DID know about Deck Capacity (and Duelist Level and F&L List releasing) options being there for the games that use those systems. It was listed on the official websites at least a few weeks prior to this trailer. 4. (This is a personal side comment not related to anything you brought up, but) I really hope they implement the one line of code that stops Reshef of Destruction from visually checking for continuous effects after every single action in the game. It's a known and very easy fix. I doubt they will but I will jump with joy if they do it! 5. You make a good point about the different emulators required for the console games. In my experience, PS1, PS2, and GameCube all have very solid and reliable emulators, especially when you're just playing a Yugioh game. It's been found out that Nintendo simply repackaged a Dolphin Emulator in their release of Super Mario 3D All Stars, so Konami could easily do the same thing here with emulators like Dolphin, PCSX2, PPSSPP, and DuckStation. 6. The tough one to emulate that you brought up in your examples is the DS, which actually does have precedent from Konami. Look at the Castlevania Dominus collection. It features a handful of the Castlevania DS games in it. And that collection was multiplatform, having been released on PC, Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and Nintendo Switch. 7. (Another side note) I'm really hoping we get a Tag Force Collection at some point, especially if it includes Tag Force SPECIAL. It's my favorite Tag Force game and I'm so sad that its only English translation is riddled with some of the most egregious things I've ever had the displeasure to read.

4:20 careful man. That's one of the characters based on an IRL championship winner. The video games had a tradition of putting tourney winners in the games as bonus characters all the way up until Over the Nexus in 2012. I wonder if you would have went off mocking his physical features like that if you'd known that.

i wish i could get clovis' input on my current remake of DoTR, I've been rebuilding assets from scratch, my only struggle has been 3d models. I've got most 2D models rebuilt from scratch. working on getting code put in now. Man i love this game so much.

Also disappointed that since there are only 2 more gba games that we dont get them as well just because they are gx games and not og games

Duel Monsters 6 in Japan is basically their version of Stairway to the Destined Duel for us. I think there's some difference between the two, with Stairway to the Destin Duel kinda being the more definitive version, which is why we're basically getting both versions in this collection. 4:20 That oppoent is kinda a secret boss in Duel Monsters 4, Kaiser Umiuma. His deck is basically OP from what I read so good luck with him when you face him.

2:12 they didn't translate dm6 because Stairway to the Destined Duel is the worldwide version of this game
