I already liked this video just 2 minutes in lol. I was a huge fan of the 90s supermodels and love hearing them tell stories about what it was like. And this woman is more accomplished than any of them except for maybe 3 or 4 others 😊
She was blessed with super symmetrical looks and ectomorph tall body. She won the genetic lottery. Luck of the draw. If she’s a good person, that’s her actual claim to fame.
Would love to talk to Anna Sui about Albert Elia
Cindy Crawford will always be the best and adorable supermodel in all times . Top of all . Hands down. ❤
How beautiful is this!
I’m so obcessed with this podcast. I wish u would put them out faster. ❤❤❤❤
Wow an interview with a lot of stories with heart! Congratulations!
Very awesome
if designers got rich , it was thanks to these girls
Timeless.
What an extraordinarily informative, and touching interview... Masterfully done!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Brilliant interview 👏🏾, love this series.
We shouldn't forget the influence of the NY club scene on American fashion and it subsequently appearing on European catwalks! Looking at the old collections there is a signature NY look that is directly tied to the clubs, the club kids and of course drag queens of that era! We literally wore the same clothes in Hamburg/Germany in the clubs and we kids had to "make" them ourselves. We wanted to be part of that movement!
Thank you , for sharing these brilliant stories . I have enjoyed every podcast . I can’t wait to see who you feature next ❤
I have been waiting for an extensive Anna Sui interview for yeaeeeeeaaaars! She was one of my favorites when I was young. I adore this podcast. One day I will meet you all...
I love Anna Sui!
One of the best interviews I’ve ever heard. It’s like peeking in to a very close family reunion. ❤❤❤
I love this podcast.
❤❤🎉🎉
I enjoyed this so much ❤
Love this podcast. Wondering why a 56 yr old from East LA is listening to this? I've loved fashion and the stories behind them. As an LA street artist at this is age, fashion continues to be an inspiration to the work that I do. Keep on sharing.
This channel is nothing more than a mutual admiration society. Lots of good info but lots ass kissing bullshit too.
Did anyone notice how no one mentions those ubiquitous tote bags?
This is one of THE best podcasts on fashion and style! I am addicted Thank you from Berlin Germany
Allure was a BRILLIANT magazine! And yes, it had a very strong journalistic backbone, but it also had a touch of irreverence (which IMO every great magazine needs.) It took risks at a time when every other magazine was toeing the line, and it really had its finger on the pulse. Plus, the visuals were often extraordinary! (I remember all those knock-out spreads of the late makeup legend Kevyn Aucoin's work. And that iconic story of Christy Turlington representing beauty for every decade of the 20th century.)
I love this podcast but I feel you should talk to photographers as well.
I really love your podcast.
Beautiful interview, and I cried three times! It is nice to see that you are a family, and it was very inspiring to hear so many stories about legendary editorials. Especially with angels.
How great it is that this friendship turned into family love in a competitive fashion world. The understanding of collaboration makes an unforgettable legacy for all of us to enjoy!
🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿❤️
Incredible lady ❤
Amazing interview.
This interview includes a vapid and offensive misrepresentation of the practice of yoga. The interviewer refers to "feeling more beautiful when practicing yoga in the presence of Christy". The practice of yoga is in no way intended to serve the purpose of making the practitioner "feel beautiful". This is a dangerous misinterpretation and a misappropriation of the ancient practice of spirituality developed in India thousands of years ago. I know the interviewer's intent was simply to say that Christy's beauty helps lift those around her to a higher level of being, but using Christy's practice of yoga in the way that the interviewer did, results in a terrible maligning of the ancient Indian practice of yoga.
So beautiful! ❤❤❤❤❤
This was a wonderful interview Cayli, thank you so much for it! Things in life change but I do also think that the 90's were a special time for fashion and love to hear the stories and perspectives from your Dad as well as all the guest you had so far. Much health to you both!
This is amazing! Would you consider doing a Camilla Nickerson episode?
Tonne Goodman is a superstar! Thanks so much for establishing context and community!
Hello 👋
Omg the slides are making me nauseated. Can they be less Prezi and more static, id love to just see the pictures
Thank you so much for this special episode. I felt the love everyone had for each other, and celebrating one another.
What a lovely conversation among people who love each other very much indeed. 💕
A skilled interlocutor
I avoid podcasts if I can, but Christy brought me here. This was bliss listening to the three of you, reminisce. Was insightful and inspiring. The 90s was lightening in a bottle. Can never be duplicated. Ever!!! Thanks for the nostalgia. Christy has always been more than a beautiful woman. Her intellect and life choices just emanate from within. Thank you for this. I am a new subscriber. Carry on.
I always lovey Christy. Beautiful woman outside as inside. What a pleasure to watch you….
She was, is and always will be one of the most beautiful model and woman in the world. Genetically she hit the jackpot with an amazing facial bone structure. Like Katherine Hepburn, she will look beautiful in her eighties, and not many women have that, it’s luck of the draw.
Boring……..
unfortunately i have to agree. it's such a shame because i am really interested in tonne goodman. but the interviewers long drawn out monotonous delivery, heavy on unnecessary pauses between her words, just sunk me.
Tonne is a great inspiration! Thank you for this podcast. ❤
Hello 👋
Laughed and Cried watching this episode really magical , thank you !
I Love Linda & I Love Love Love this interview , well done !
Your episodes are so great to watch & listen to as you know the heroes of our industry so well & have a history . They are special in that it's not a classic interview, with an interviewer that doesn't know each guest , they feel like friendly conversations. I have watched them all & they are like having a relaxed visit each time . Please keep them coming , very well done . Cheers
