Hey Karl. I recently moved to Castlemaine and went to Chewton looking for a place to pan (I am a beginner). A couple lovely ladies who were walking by Forest Creek recommended me your channel. Learning a lot from you. Let me know when you are back to Castlemaine/Bendigo. Would love a lesson.
I’d just head to slaty creek creswick or sailors creek Daylesford. In Bendigo dead dog gully is good when there is water around. But many mozzies. Was a picker in every pan though.

I 2nd the CV Joint from a front wheel. I've had one shatter on me before and found pieces and ball bearings just like that.
