The owner of this UA-cam channel keeps taking down my comment about David Nieradka. David Nieradka was my stepdad from the age of 8- 22 years old (14 years). He is not the American Hero this video makes him out to be. He was an abusive alcoholic drunk who never got sober until a court mandated him to do so a few years ago when my mom and him were getting a divorce. He took out his PTSD on me, my brother, my sister, and my mother. I have severe PTSD that I live with every day because of this guy. He never cared about anything but his reputation and the beer in his fridge while he was my "DAD". I understand the need for this channel and how veterans should be celebrated, but behind closed doors David was abusing and neglecting his family.

Hello there Mr McMahon, I’m in England and I just watched this UA-cam video. May I add to your remarks about “duty”….. I guess military duty is also about what you’ve been trained and told what you must do, but I also imagine that “duty” is what those guys on the ground are expecting from you. Otherwise, they may be history. I’m a paramedic in London but I don’t go on shift expecting that someone wants to kill me! I salute you…top flight!

I lived across the street from Hotel 3 on Tan Son Nhut AB 69/70! Saw every type of helicopter recovery effort arrive right over our barracks. Even the CH 54 Skycrane with a Ch47 along for the ride. A friend from Paducah, Ky was the only survivor of a Chinook crash! 25 others died. He listened for several days while the VC scavenged the wreckage and victims. Finally heard American troops talking. He crawled out from the brush where he was hiding and was evacuated to Japan for burn treatment. God bless you all!

Ehm, his timeline doesn't add up. The war in Bosnia ended in Dec 1995. Were peacekeepers still there in 2001?

He sure had some incredible stories. For a 92-year-old man who had survived so many experiences, he was in amazing health, and was quite an energetic man. It was a honor.

So I’m confused…what were you fighting for that America had to invade another country because we didn’t like their politics; living standards? Really, I’m confused. If someone asked you to jump off a cliff why would you do it without giving critical thinking to the situation. We always have choices. Why did you think it was a good thing to represent our country to go kill poor, innocent people that did nothing but live their minimalist lives. Really, I’m so confused. Your god or any god of good character was not with you when you chose to go kill another’s countries people for no good reason. I don’t understand why you are a follower of man’s bad policies. I hope the children of today will weigh the facts worthy of war before saluting to attention. I’m still struggling to understand.
