My 2010 Pathfinder has an A/C expansion valve failure (suspected). Shop quoted $1,000-$1,200 for the by-the-book 8 hour job. I looked at the diagram in the SM and it seemed like it was doable to remove it from under the hood. Came across your video which confirmed it for me. Just ordered a new valve and o-rings. Will have the shop evacuate the system, I'll (hopefully) swap out the valve, and then get it charged back up. Thank you for making this video!!!

He basically skipped the harness ( 20 connectors) but lowering it w/o it doing that and saving a ton of time and risk of the connectors not goin back and dash board light errors, i am gng to try it this weekend, i hope i have neough slack to drop the column the way he did !!!! thank you so much!

Hey! I have an 08 NA impreza and got a p0134 code after leaving the carwash (didnt wash the engine bay, all exterior). I tried measuring the rails on the car side connector, had the key in the ignition set to on, not running, but every pin on my meter never went above 2.2V. Is there a chance that my car side connector really is bad? Do you know any resistance values I could look for on the sensor pin out? Trying to be as close to 100% on this before I go to autozone and get a replacement sensor. Thank you so much for your video!

I am a tow truck driver, and I do help ease the mind of some customers, but I also inform them I am not the mechanic you best have it diagnosed by your shop. I deal with a lot of broken stuff and I’ve worked on a lot of stuff would not consider myself an expert on diagnosis, but I am pretty accurate and 90% of the time. And most of the time is the customer asking what do you think is wrong with? It ain’t got no gas in it.😂

I have worked the industry for decades. Some Tow truck drivers sometimes diagnose the vehicle they brought in. Then I give my actual diagnosis then the customer says but the tow truck driver said… I say let the tow truck driver fix your car then. Nothing against tow truck drivers I know I bunch of good ones. It’s the first thing a customer hears that sticks, then it really requires extra work to convince them otherwise.

@@robertkincaid9122 because it's not possible with these, the pin is set very low in the connector. The connector is made so it slides over and only can line up with the pin that's set down in it. There's no way to slide the connector down and have it out of place to bend the pin. Once the connector is in place there's no side to side movement for anything to be bent. I can't tell you how many aftermarket alts I've sent back for bent/broken/missing pins out the box. Or that plastic just being broken clean off. Just letting people know to double check. If bent it's an easy fix.
