How suspension damage can affect tire wear
Переглядів 17414 днів тому
Suspension damage or misalignment are among the toughest for customers to predict or explain when they come into your shop with an issue. They may tell you they “drive normally” but are still experiencing symptoms that align with damaged suspension components, like accelerated tire wear. Your customers are probably right about “normal driving,” but they don’t account for the potholes, curbs or ...

What you can do to keep tire technicians around long-term
Переглядів 7921 день тому
Being short a technician or two can really add up for your business monetarily. Let’s say you have a labor rate of $125 per hour. That means, if you lost a technician, every eight-hour shift equates to $1,000 in missed labor sales and a potential of $1,000 in missed parts sales. That’s $44,000 in missed sales every month with an average of 22 work days per month. Let’s talk about what you can d...
Why all-season tires are the “Jack of all trades” of the tire market
Переглядів 41021 день тому
Do you ever wonder where certain sayings come from? For example - “Jack of all trades” is one of my favorites - which generally means someone or something that is good at a lot of different things. But, like, who is Jack? And does he really know all trades? Get this guy on the shop floor, am I right? Speaking of that saying, many people in the tire industry consider all-season tires the “Jack o...

The key to selling long-lasting tires
I’m having a similar issue but my steering is stiff in a way. The mechanics in my area can’t seem to find out why. Honda gave me no explanation but was trying to charge me 4000$. Please help
Que cantidad necesita un neumático 265/75 rin 16 A/T
I run a Set of HT’s on my Sorento with no complaints 🎉
You should have a robot teach you how to do this job with no power on😅
Well must cost a lot a person can out a machine and do the job a lot faster and better and less noise
Darren is a great guy and a true leader in the ADAS business. 👍🏼
So tyres aren’t made for the modern world.
I’m sold @bridgestonegolf is for me! I want Tiger’s ball for my game! @fredgalle
Awesome!
.. we love tires
So which Michelin tire and what price
How noisy are these on the Expressway??
2/32 is 1/16
They need more aggressive side biters. I bought these tires in October. I like them so far. And the price wasn't bad either.
A personal experience: with 1.5" of snow and more falling in Chicago, my Goodyear Assurance helped me to reach the top of the I-90 ramp, while others were sliding back and causing numerous collisions.
True weather tires, without snow test😂😂😂😂 B.S advertisement!!!!! Lies after lies. Gaslighting you in the summer brought to you by goody😂😂😂😂
Its ok tyre Normal tyre nothing special
Thank you for this video. It might have just simplified my search for truck tires. I need a set that is on pavement 90% of the time, handled well in rain and snow, can handle hauling and towing loads, and maybe 5-10% of the time drives a gravel or dirt trail, or maybe even needs to climb a grassy slope. No mud, sand, or chunky rocks though. Lastly, if possible, get decent gas mileage and have relatively low noise levels.
Not bay this brands..
Pay to repair you own car… We need take action now …
This is the end of capitalism, no more private property!!
...."mating" surfaces not "matting" surfaces...come on, get it right, otherwise credibility suffers.
The all-seasons/weather tyres are worse than the dedicated summer (UUHP, UHP) tyres in the summer and worse than the dedicated winter tyres in the winter. For example (given you are sponsored by Conti), do you know any all-seasons/weather tyres better than Continental WinterContact 870P in the winter? Ofc, the answer is no.
The real question is how do all weather tires perform after one or two full years of use. That means after they have been used well through the scorching summer heat and freezing winter cold. How do those thermal stress cycles affect the performace of such tyres. I had read some comments on the Internet that such temperature stresses (especially summer heat) typically cause the significant long term degradation of their performance, but I am not convinced that is true yet. Any info from you or others?
We have the Nokian WRG4, now on their 3rd year and there are no noticeable differences in handling the various conditions. I know people with Michelin crossclimate 2's who are doing fine also.
The wheel is not going to come off the vehicle do to an incorrect pre-load
I had a bad experience at this place and had to have the problem fixed at another mechanic.
This ought to make your wife feel safer. What happens if the tire blows out, not go flat? It can't be fixed. It has to be replaced. The tire shop is closed for the day.
Christian, I see you drew the short straw with attempting to make a presentation about wheel weights seem interesting. Well kid, you didn’t. But I don’t think anybody could. Not even Morgan Freeman!
Honda pilot has a great AWD system. Wonder how much this helped
So what if my front are 7/32 n rear 10 or 12/32 is that fine?
It’s dangerous when it’s raining believe me I lost my BMW M4 because of mixing tyres. I think the best way to do it is to do same brand in the front and the same brand at the back
My Toyota Highlander has 115,000 miles and is 8 yrs old. I have just noticed 2 pinholes on the outer ring of the outer cv boots on both sides. I noticed some grease being deposited and had to actually clean them thoroughly and then drive the car several miles to have the pinholes exposed. Two small dabs of grease appeared. I cleaned the area and covered the 2 invisible holes essentially (I marked the location so I knew exactly where the holes were) with Permatex gasket maker. Weeks later both have been dry so I think that is a great fix until the boots have a more serious tear.. what could possibly cause these super small pin holes?
1st mistake was buying a land rover
Yes, but some versions are okay and have a good motor. But it is premium and will cost you an arm and a leg at the dealer. But if you can do a lot DIY, why not? (2nd hand rather cheap with some minor problems.)
Infomercial
did you notice they are loud at low speeds? sounds like laundry spinning at 25 and below. wondering if i have a defect. everything else is amazing.
HEALTH CONCERNS with lead weights.... environmental AS WELL, because living things HATE lead for good reason.
Didn't realize the rotation pattern was only front to back. Actually have 2 cars running CC2's and just now realized they have the same pattern. Thanks for the education. Shouldn't this result in greater wear to the outer edge of the tire relative to the inner edge?
Good question. Directional tires are designed to wear evenly along the tread during straight-line driving. As long as you're rotating them front-to-back, the tires should wear uniformly across their tread width, assuming no external issues are there. If they are wearing as described, it could be because of an alignment/suspension issue or from driving on underinflated tires. However, it could also happen if you're a driver who tends to take corners aggressively, which could (in part) be compensated for by rotating in the standard "X" pattern on tires with, say, an asymmetrical tread design.
🙄
Is this an ad or a tire comparison? Really didn't get much from this to help me choose between various tire options.
Thats a ly make no sense. You need spare tire. This just puting more people life in danger.
More ways to prevent people from fixing own vehicles or to pay more for the option.😢
Nonsense company like promo video. Let take 3 all weather tires and show their performance in snow
So If we rotate them yourself does that count ?
Save $100/yr on gas but spend more on tow truck.
Nobody beats the CC2 in snow and everyone beats the CC2 in the wet.😂
7:00 Made In Chile ?? fkn trash
Tire circle jerk
Great information
I made a Continential tire warranty claim after a blowout of a 6 month old tire with no obvious cause. Continential demanded the tire be shipped back to them by the tire dealer for analysis before they would pay any claim. The tire was “lost” in shipping and Continential refused to pay. Warranties are only as good as the company that guarantees them. My experience suggests Continential tire warranties are worthless
Don't forget to mention that the higher the treadwear the harder the rubber and the less grip you will have. Race cars have treadwear down around 50. A car on the street that needs a performance tire should look for a treadwear rating around 240. Grandpa's car should have a treadwear rating of around 800. He doesn't do aggressive driving and he doesn't need his tires to give him that extra grip because he's driving fast in traffic. Buy the tire that suits your needs.
