Unironically practicing fighting him in a small box may actually make the fight easier to an extent. You always have something to grapple to, which lets you dodge his charges reliably. This isnt to undermine your accomplishment here, that was phenomenally done and must have taken an insane amount of practice

I found out you could get its ai to circle you like that but i couldnt find a way to reliably deal damage with that, there was the providence sword but it was still less dps than the intended method but i guess it was necessary for this, mad props dude

Very nice. Love the DoG fight when I actually understood how to fight him. I don't think I would ever fight him in such an enclosed space, but I did start to use feather fall potions to allow me to stay in the air much longer. My "arena" consisted of three layers of platforms that were only about 300 blocks long, this is on a large world. Nice use of the Death's Ascension as well, I went with the Neptune's Bounty both for the previous Calamity patch and the one after. I found it to deal the most damage, 32k dps with good placement.
