The fantastic view from the summit of Cerro Chirripo, Costa Rica. Far away Cerro Durika, Cerro Fábrega, Cerro Kamuk and other mountains can be seen.

A little film I did from my latest trip to Costa Rica. It resulted in that we found many new orchid species. Winter 2015 we are back!
That's a great video. I will always cheer for you in Korea I'm looking forward to a great video. Have a nice day.
A subida na árvore foi uma encenação porque não prova que aquelas lindas orquídeas estavam na árvore.
Really awesome stuff!
Tq for video, please tag id for every sp u found..i'm orchids sp lovers from Malaysia..❤️
You could have shown the pants too, also if you hold the flowers in hand we can make out their size, I am saying so because I think some of them might be there in my estate also
Sorry it is plants instead of pants

Que delícia andar na floresta e. Ver essas coisas lindas ........ Parabéns 👏👏👏👏🙏🙏🙏
Beautiful
Stealing from nature. Just got to bring everything to the brink of extinction.
No, we collect to the botanical gardens in Costa Rica and they published the species. They get the plants for the herbarium and to their collection. How do you think new sp are collected? So don´t judge before you know the facts!
@@pontusa6714 it says nothing of that in the description. Who....are you collecting for?

Carbon Based Lifeforms and finding orchids - perfect match :)
Great, thanks for sharing. I love Lepanthes and am finally getting decent at growing them.
Superb Video ! Please remember to bring along antidotes/antivenom for various types of snakes - or some other protection ! (So thankfull for the upload
3:40 , the right moment when we found A NEW ORCHID SPECIES. 5 Years later we published it, and named the beautiful miniature orchid as Lepanthes durikaensis, in honor to Durika Biological Reserve, in Talamanca highlands. From those localities we published 5 new orchid species, and some others were published in later publications. This is the article we wrote, www.researchgate.net/publication/281714267_Lepanthes_novae_Durikaensis_New_species_of_Lepanthes_Pleurothallidiinae_Orchidaceae_are_described_from_Cordillera_de_Talamanca_Costa_Rica
Wow... I like this
👍👍 Love Nature
Do they eat insects?
No Nicki. But they are pollinated by very small insects. But they survive :)

I ´ve been to Costa Rica a few times, wintertime they experience frequent storms which cause many branches to fall, and with them; orchids, often flowering. tons and tons of orchids lying there. But I don´t like people poching them along the trails or in national parks.
Forbiden you can go to jail
Amazing beautiful Pictures.
Wow
😍😍😍😍❤❤❤
that is beautiful orchids, is every orchid species is forbiden to take from the jungle?
it is better to have some plants of every species grown by human beings than let the species become extinct from habitat destruction.
After that trip we published 5 new orchid species for the world, it was not for vanity or mere joy ;)
@@nonrepublicrat you sound so fucking stupid, you’re justifying poaching
In Costa Rica is forbidden. I hope this guy is a botanist and he is doing this for science.
Leave it in the wild,. Hope all you are doing is collecting photos, not plants. Amazing photos.
We didn't get to watch him find any; all we saw were pics of orchids.

amazing
Please don't hunt and stolen the nature plants, leaving their own endemic species in extinction! We ❤️ orchids but people want to be a business never I agree .
orchids businesses don't cause plant extinction. that is nonsense. you don't know what you are talking about. almost all species extinctions are the result of habitat destruction from land clearing.
@@nonrepublicrat thank you!! Finally Someon intelligent!

We are lucky if there will be any rainforests intact in 20 years. Even national parks are logged in some parts but the worst enemy....climat change. Some rainforests we go to have much less rain. So no rain...no rainforest. So go to the rainforests now...soon many are gone.
Amazing!
Absolutely stunning finds!
haha LOL
coata rica is beautifull
Fernando Aguilar Gaytan, not coata rica. It is coasta rica..
My goodness what beautiful new species
If you don´'t know. This is illegal in Costa Rica. You cant take the orchid from the jungle.
David Esquivel this was for scientific research. They have a document or a permit for this.

It depends on where you do it. If you are on a private property with the owner's permission it's OK. But it's not OK if you do it on a national park
