S5 E29: Perinatal Mental Health: How to Start the Conversation ft. Dr. Stephanie Waggel
There are no words of appreciation that I have as a grandma for the support of Hand to Hold, although my grandson is still in the NICU, I know my daughter and son-in-law are getting the assistance necessary to be the best parents for their baby boy, it takes a village to go through such a process and I thank God every day! Keep up the great work with these NICU families❤
K rica leche materna 😋
Es bueno cuidar el pecho
Dr. Waggel is a great guest to discuss this topic. I’m curious how perinatal mental health will become more mainstream over the next decade. Looking forward to expanding knowledge on this time period that so many women experience.
The interview was very informative and interesting! Thank you Dr. Waggel for sharing your insight on PMADS and the medications relating to it!
This interview was very informative and well-constructed! Dr. Waggel is very knowledgeable!
This interview was quite informative on the topic of PMADs and the medication Zuranolone, both of which are prevalent topics in healthcare currently. Thank you Dr.Waggel!
This was very insightful. Thank you Dr. Waggel!
this interview was educational and provided me some insight to PMADs. really enjoyed getting to learn Dr. Waggel's background as well and how her interests allowed for her to gain interest in this specific area that needs more research.
Thank you so much for having me. It was a pleasure discussing mental health with you and I hope this discussion reaches those that need to hear it. -Dr. Waggel
I'm 24 n have hlhs...
My 3-day-old baby was born with HLHS I'm currently torn apart and I'm in a decision point right now and I'm not sure i wanna put the baby through this stress and painful procedures. I hope i com back here years later and be proud of myself that i did the right thing.
How is your baby going now?
Lost him after 7 days sadly.😢
My daughter passed away from this condition, hers was pretty complicated. I am still trying to get back on my feet from it all. It is inspiring to hear other people stories, there’s no “fixing” hlhs…just preceedures that hopefully extend time.
My deepest condolences for losing your precious baby. I hope God gives you the strength in this challenging time.🙏🙏🙏
Aww man, this story touched my heart. My wife and I have custody of our grandson who was born with HLHS and we are going through all the same events. Our GS is 4 months now. My wife needs support, because somedays she just can't handle all the things that come with it. God Bless both of you.
Just want you to know that my nephew was born with HLHS. He is 21 now and is going on the transplant list to get a new heart. There is hope
Why does he need transplant
His heart is failing him now. He is going to hospital next week to wait for a heart@@tylerpuckett7858
Misti has been interviewed many times but I could feel the connection of a NICU mom interviewing a NICU mom. Thank you for this really touching interview with my daughter.
Hello, I just wanted to say that I just found and appreciate your channel and community. I was born with hypoplastic left heart and don't often think about that fact anymore. I looked it up and found this video, and just wanted to share my story so other kids and parents can hopefully feel a little better. I am 21 about to be 22 and I am able to exercise with weights and I have taken college courses. I've had the Norwood, the fontan1 and 2 and an aortic replacement surgery. Noah's condition is worse than mine but I sincerely hope that he lives to the fullest and has a successful transplant.
What a great testimony! I'm so happy you found us. I hope many families find hope in your story.
Great episode!! You do an amazing job being very relatable and easy to listen to!! 😊 I'm sure the love you share, with your sweet voice, calm, understanding words, and and tender smile, will bless all those who watch!! Thank you, Kathryn!! I'll be praying for this ministry!
Thank you so much for those kind words!

What a sweet story!! God bless your family!! The boys are so cute and healthy!!
Tengo un bebé de 32 semanas y tiene un mes en una clínica pero no sube de peso va muy lento que más se puede dar en la leche gracias
Comprale. Emfamil. Leche fortificada eso le dio mi. Neonatologo a mis.
I love I love you my dear I love you
Por favor necesito saber mi nena es prematura nació de 34 semanas ahora tiene ya 8 meses pero no sube de peso es bien inquieta
Hola como va tu bebe la mia tambien es prematura de 34 semanas

Healthy Nursing tea works best for increasing breast milk supply.
It really is an amazing blend. It worked wonders for me.
I increased my breast milk supply by drinking Healthy Nursing tea regularly.
Hi. My son was born at 27+5 weeks gestation and weighed about 770 gms at birth. He is now 4.5 years old but is very lean and weighs only 8.5 Kgs. He is eating well. However, I am really concerned about his weight gain. I have tried all possible ways to help him gain weight. Please advise. It will be great help.
