Tour Divide 2024- A Scouser Scratches
The Tour Divide is a bucket-list, solo, unsupported bike-packing race that crisscrosses the Continental Divide, starting in Banff, Alberta, Canada and finishing at the US/Mexico border in Antelope Wells, New Mexico.
This is my second race, unfortunately scratching on this attempt due to illness & injury on Day 7 in Butte, Motanana (after 1,140km).
Disappointed not to finish but in all fairness, rode it till I broke.

The Six Corners of Takaka is a self-supported backpacking challenge in Golden Bay. Riders aim to ride 445Km between the top of the Rameka track, Trilobite hut in the Cobb Valley, Totaranui Beach, Brown's hut at the start of the the Heaphy track, Anatori river & Cape Farewell spit within 36 hours. Its a tough weekend of riding.

Tip Track Marathon

Annual celebration of Wellington running community. Its a social but challenging out and back course taking in 6 laps of the infamous tip track. Runners touch the gate at the bottom and the signpost at the top then repeat. The starters cannon was banned this year due to noise complaints but there are Fireball whiskey shots at the finish.

The Mukamuka Munter is a 32km trail race around Wellington's wild south coast, travelling up the Mukamuka valley via the South saddle of Mt Matthews over to the Orongorongo & Catchpole valley. The Mega Munter is for hardy souls adding a circuit of the East Whakanui track, 50 kms of trail goodness.
