Thru-hiking the Oregon Coast Trail
What a dream, to explore the Oregon Coast from my birthplace of Astoria on the northern Oregon Coast, to the border of California in the form of an ultralight thruhike on the OCT. It was not your typical hike for many reasons and it kept me on my toes the entire time.
Not a continuous "trail" like the other big hikes. But a series of roads, beach walking, and navigation that will test your stealthiness, people skills, and and how much you really do hate road walking. The resupply for food however was the easiest and maybe my favorite part.
The cool morning air (every day!) was such a treat away from those scorching inland temps. More wildlife than I imagined and so many amazing birds!
Even more stunning than I have ever known or remembered.
Sand. In. Everything.

Solo Backpacking The Timberline Trail (counterclockwise)
Переглядів 6232 роки тому
The Timberline Loop is a 41 mile trail that circumnavigates Mt. Hood in Northern Oregon. And at 10,300 of elevation gain, she’s a bit spicy as well. I chose counterclockwise this time around. It’s still one of my favorite hikes by far. It’s still challenging and a great training trail if you plan on thru-hiking the Pacific Crest Trail or any other big hikes.
Full time truck camper-ing + Seeing Jackass Forever with Danger Ehren + a few great hikes!

My first week of full time truck camper living. This first week was perfect weather and a couple of really great hikes along the Oregon coast. I also got to spend some time with one of my best friends “Danger” Ehren Mcghehey. We went and watched Jackass Forever (spoiler, he’s in it) on opening week in a tiny theatre in the small town of Seaside and played some fetch with Bugsy the dog. All in a...
Winter Camping On The Pacific Crest Trail
Переглядів 2973 роки тому
I headed 4 miles south on Section G of the Pacific Crest Trail in Oregon after a late Winter storm. I camped for one night in what is normally a summertime tent site for thru-hikers of the PCT. I had a nice (eXtreme?) second breakfast the next day and headed out.

Thank you for sharing your journey!
Yo! Look at you ! Great to see your face . Been a long time since high-school. If you nomad through kansas make sure to let me know I'm outside of Wichita and Shine Adams lives not far in Lawrence ks still , I think. Great video! Love seeing you live your best! ❤
Nicely done. I did it in 4 seasons 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016. I saw most of the sights you picked but your presentation was very artful!
Thanks for sharing! Heading out next week for a CCW
What time of the year did you do this and how long did it take you?😊
Amazing shots! It felt like I was right there with you!!! You really captured the magic of the Oregon coast ☀️🌲😌
This is a fantastic video and I really enjoyed watching it. Thank you for the share. What month did you do this trail?
I think this was august!
Loved the video! I was thinking about bringing my solo Plex but was afraid the condensation would be a nightmare. How was that whole situation?
It wasn’t as bad as I thought in my duplex but I did enjoy having the synthetic bag instead of down.
Nice vid! I've hiked the whole thing 4x and I'll be back out there in 2 weeks for #5.
Did Ft. Stevens to Brookings in '19. Too much yellow blaze. Some damn incredible scenery though. State parks are sweet for hiker/bikers.
Oh yeah, fresh water was a problem.
Lol the tunnel of doom run
I absolutely loved watching this. I did the OCT through hike with a friend about 10 years ago and in 2 weeks from now I'm doing my favorite part of it from Florence to Brookings. Thank you for sharing! 🌊🌲⛺💚
That’s such a great section! Probably my fave. Stoked you get to go back and enjoy!
Ok, so I get the top half n you get the bottom half. Together we make a whole. 😁
Team work makes the dream work!
Spa day at the ranch... Heckin ya! Oh, oh, ya, right there, right there, whooo, you got it. Thanks man👍
Morning scratches... I m jealous! 🙂
So good 👏🏻
Too much nutrients and minerals 💀💀💀
😆
no filter?
Had the same question, Maybe the bottle will have a filter he screws on
You screw a filter on you fill it. I use the “sawyer squeeze” but you can use other methods such as purification drops as well.
Love the style of the video. Well done!
That was quite the trip! Thanks for sharing.
Yeah Cory! nice work, thanks for sharing.
Thanks Jess!
Great video man!
A beautiful adventure you had out there Cory! Scenery looks amazing.
Thanks Mario! 🏕
Really cool tent transitions! I wanna be backpacking 💜

Great! I’m glad I subscribed and can’t wait to see more. LOVED those open views. 2:31 and also the end view. When you have thousands of subscribers, I can say I was here for the very first video 👍🏻👍🏻
Did you have a drone with you for those far away shots or did you set the camera down, film and have to go back and get it?! Either way, peaceful music, beautiful shots. I'm an East Coast girl so its fun to see this landscape! :)
A little bit of both but the valley shot is is a drone. I am new to them but growing to love them. They make great tripods! Hello from the PNW!
Found your channel because of your comment on Dixie's last video. Can't wait to see more content and to see your channel grow with wonderful videos like this one. Greetings and much love from Belgium! :)
Same! Thought I would stop in and give it a view, like and comment!
Dang thank you Cookie! Means a lot!
Awesome video! What amazing views! Love those tall pines in the PNW! Looking forward to future installments! That maple bar at the end looked DELISH!
Thank you Dose! Man, sometimes I feel like those maple bars are why I do this so I feel like I earned it 🤣
Nice vibe in the video. Maybe you could try to capture some more open views. Like at the end with the mountain, which was very beautiful. Keep at it brother 💪🏻 Greetings from Germany
Thank you Karl! I was thinking just that when I was done... more of the views! More to come brother!
That breakfast wow
