great story Karl! My Uncles when I was a kid always had vettes C2s and C3s. They never had children so they always treated me as one of theirs and always let me wash the cars and detail them. I have been a vette lover, all my life because of it. got 3 now but its taken me until in my 50’s to start collecting. got a 69 427, 91 ZR1, ‘19 ZR1. dreaming of a C6 ZR1 to add. if you can dream it, it can be done! So funny I had a 76 Monte Carlo back in 1985 HS.

The C8 is a performance machine. Base model holds its own against nearly all previous generations and trim levels of corvette. The stingray hitting sub 7:30 and the z06 version nearly hitting 7 minutes on the nurburgring is astounding. The C8 ZR1 will take it to another level.

That brappy, lumpy sound just doesn’t fit the character of a C4. It’s too rednecky V8 and the LT5 deserves a more sophisticated sound. Stock is best.
It's not rednecky. Corsa ain't cheap AT ALL! It sounds better once broken in.
are those paddle shifters on a manual?
rev match on/off. blips the throttle for you when you down shift. you can use either paddle to turn it on or off that’s all those do. I think they were trying to be cool with the paddles lol

Old school days when you downshifted, you would push the clutch in and rev the engine to match the RPM this does it for you that’s all those do. on/off each side. Odd how they did that to make it look like paddle shifting automatic, but I guess it’s cool.
