I remember waking up this day. Eating breakfast at 8am and hoping on my bike to ride down to the US Open. Once I got down there I got in the short line to get through the gate. They opened the gate a few hours later and my friends and i were right next to the front barricade. Everyone was freaking out that we got to see MGMT on the beach at home for free. Before MGMT came on tbe pushing became insane and grew worse as they played their first few songs. Yet everyone on the beach that day had great vibes and it will forever be one of those moments that I will remember from my youth. I remember shoes raining from the sky during the shoe throw and everyone going absolutely crazy when Kids came on. No MGMT show will ever compare.
