Why no reputed book talks of coulomb’s law if charges are kept in a medium. Is this any sort of DAISI COULOMB’S LAW ? If we put two charges in free space and they exert force F on each other (ie magnitude of action reaction reaction is F) Now when the same two charges are kept in a dielectric medium the mutual force or the action-reaction or the force between them is still same ❤. But how? Do not medium get polarized and new charges appear on the scene to play their role ? OF COURSE BUTTT PRINCIPLE OF SUPERPOSITION OF ELECTROSTATIC FORCES SAY LOUDLY....FORCE BETWEEN TWO CHARGES OR ACTION REACTION BETWEEN TWO CHARGES DOES NOT GET CHANGED BY THE PRESENCE OR ABSENCE OF SOME OTHER CHARGE(S). It is something else which changes not the mutual force between the two charges and no reputed book has entered this other form of coulomb’s law. Superposition principle of electrostatic forces is not total force on a charge is given by vector sum . Total force is always given by vector sum whether forces are on charge or ball or stone or cow. There was no need to give separate law for charges.
