So beautiful Marcus. Outstanding video my friend
Thank you! I filmed this with my zoom camera through milk glass.
Regards the TAC 2AA 14100P rechargeable battery, literally SO difficult to source, does anyone know where a replacement can be bought?
Kinda useless test. Any knife will break like this. What about trying to destroy it by actually using it properly?
It is not really possible to kill the Glock with regular knife use. It is, however, meant for improvisation and abuse. It is in fact a pretty poor knive but more a pry bar and last ditch weapon. As such I was curious about the max force it can take. It performed very well.
Great channel name man
the mechanical design of Wuben lights is OK but they have the worst UI I've seen in a long time - they really need to hire a new UI person and get in touch with reality and also check what other companies do. The newly released X2 Pro has an UI that seems to be designed by someone who has absolutely no idea what they are doing and completely ruins the light. I'll be returning mine. The reason why I still have the E7 is because I got it for cheap but it is not a great light and there is absolutely no excuse why they didnt implement something as simple as "moonlight" mode.
I did mention the UI as a weakness and in particular that there is no direct-to-low which is pretty much a standard these days. However, the way I use it (more as an auxiliary light) on a jacket/backpack strap it is fine, especially when I remember to turn it off on low it will come back on low and I still have a shortcut to turbo. What I really appreciate is the switch feel and design plus the general haptic perception. It does well in the cold and wet. The X2pro looks interesting, sad to hear that about the UI. For 50 or so I still might check it out.
Love it❤
It is really nice. Don't go with a Olight Oclip, go with this one!
I have an E7 that i use mostly as headlamp.
It works well for sure! Although I would rather go with the 5000K version if used as headlamp. I find myself more often having a light on the strap of my backpack these days. So the Wuben E7 is exactly what I need (my Olight Oclip Pro is acting funny).
I bought the E5 because of the size and I love the output it gives.
Indeed, it is a true flat style flashlight and great to carry. Mine was already abducted ;-)
Thanks so much. What's happening next winter??
they have two modes TAC and EDC - you can switch between the modes by clicking the tail switch and turning the light on while holding the side switch. in TAC mode they will always start on full power and you can step down with the side switch. In EDC mode the light will store in the memory the last level and it will turn on it next time. When doing a review, at least make an effort to read the manual. The blue TAC 2AA uses SFT-25R which is a round die domeless emitter - not a dedomed one (which implies that it had a dome at one point that was removed)
Very good👍
Thinking about getting a blue one sense they’re on sale on Amazon. So is it able to use any other rechargeable battery if something happens to that one in the future? New to the rechargeable cell lights.
This cell can be replaced although it is not as common as i.e. 18650 type cells. In the meantime you can run the light with normal rechargeables, batteries and anything not going beyond 1.5V per cell. Only 14500 are not an option (unless u use a single one with a space/dummy cell).
Space, the final fronteer

@@wearandtear6692 The P50. What is the purpose of them? Such a nice looking light but those don't make any sense to me.
@@Leo-gt1bx well, I actually use such color light modes. I do outdoor and bushcraft camps with children and that kind of functionality is great fun for disco evenings.
@@wearandtear6692 Haha that is the last thing I need in a flashlight. You must be one of very few who would have that need. If they were high CRI flood lights it might make sense.
@@Leo-gt1bx The ring also houses warm white high CRI floodlight LEDs. Operable even while the light is charging - that made the deal for me. I have many powerful color LED lights but it is nice that the P50 has them.
✔️👍
Great review as always my friend. I jumped on this light right away when I saw it. 24.99 w/battery on introductory sale on Amazon couple months ago. Ended up with blue, orange, and green. Like the blue sft model best, but others fine too.Great anodizing and build.
The blue is just a stinger, nice. Makes me smile every time ;-)
hello ,how do I contact u
hello ,how do I contact u?
Well, I got the blue one of these. Genuinely incredible light. More candela and less lumens is actually a much better light, especially in this case. If you hold the side button while hitting the rear button, you can make it not turn on turbo every time. It does work for either low/medium/high memory if you do this. I honeslty may use this as a tactical flashlight, too. Certainly, the focused beam makes the moonlight mode actually useful. Having the light focused helps you actually see things with that 144 hour runtime. Thats pretty nuts. Honestly, the fact that the light has a good rechargable battery, works as a tac light, and can run off of AA batteries just fine really makes this one of my favorite lights. My Olights will likely sit around a lot as this actually makes my pocket and my car.
@@phil2082 yeah, the blue is my backup on the edc backpack, the orange stays in the car. The blue is the best compact thrower I have ever seen. As a thrower is a very specialized tool that is not so often needed in a edc context it is nice to have it very small and light. Agreed, a thrower can do much with little light if you just need to Illuminate a small area. Plus it can always turn floody with any diffusor - vice versa does not work. Also the blue one is ver tactically blindling with the right ui setting. It went off in my pocket and burnt me, lol
@wearandtear6692 Yeah, the light turning on in pocket is an issue solved usually with sensors or having the light pointing out of pocket. No fun there. I'll have mine on edc mode.
@@phil2082 I have it on a 360° rotational holster (NiteIze). Open at the bottom so no big issue there. Putting it into EDC mode contradicts any possible tactical use.
This is a Leser Light
Yes, and very compact. However, I have replaced it with the larger but more capable TD01. Check out that beam: ua-cam.com/video/TLIixU38xnc/v-deo.html and for full review plus different beam colors: ua-cam.com/video/hQaxrQX88n4/v-deo.html If you want a really dedicated thrower with a laser beam the TD01 is even better just not friendly to your pocket ;-)
i have 2 vapcell 1,2 v 2800mah NiMH batteries - those willl be good?
Likley. Except the lower voltage might lead to a diminished output.
@@wearandtear6692 ah thatz not good; so i will buy some vartha lithiums [non rechargables coz i buyed this torch coz of that which can work with alkalines; but seems then with lithiums also but lower then 1,5 volts]; so thanks man the infos!
8:18 this shots with varta or that acebeam batery?
With the Acebeam battery cause it is rechargeable and the Varta are not. I would not expect the same performance even with good AA cells.
@@wearandtear6692 thatz about what i am thinking the lithium non-rech. batteries has same power as the rechargables?
@@wearandtear6692 all right if the volt is just 1,5 so not 3,7 probable they are not; but at least the non-rech. lithiums are better then the non-rech [or even rechargable] alkalines?
@@HunGyilok The 1,5V lithium AAs (i.e. Varta, Energizer, ...) can keep the voltage up for much longer so they totally dominate any alkaline (plus they are much lighter, can be stored much longer, don't leak and deal great with cold temps). Non-Lithium rechargeables typically only deliver 1,2V (except perhaps Eneloop). The included lithium-ion cell for sure has more capacity and delivers the max voltage the light can handle. I would have to do an experiment with the standard cell, 2xAA lithium and 2xAA alkaline and maybe even Eneloop. Should I do that?
@@wearandtear6692 yes of course!
I imagine you can use one 14500 and a 14500/AA dummy spacer. Got a couple from amazon. Getting my blue one in a couple days only $27 out the door also on amazon
@@krapeevids6992 yes, good point. You can buy or build a dummy cell. It is about the voltage range.
Yes definitely like a different color other than black sometimes for my flashlights. Glad to see acebeam and other manufacturers offer this. And especially if you’re a collector

Beautiful orange color. I started replacing my black flashlights with orange ones. Easier to find around the job site. Have you had the chance to check out the Convoy t4?
Yeah, blazing orange on my knives and lights is what I prefer these days! No, did not get around to Convoy in quite a while.
How long does it last on turbo mode?
@@alfrhju like a minute, timed step-down
10:45 is said lithium not good 4 acebeam
Those Varta are 1.5V Lithium batteries, they have the same voltage range as alkaline cells although they offer more capacity and hold the voltage more constant under load. They should me no problem. 14500 on the other hand look like AAs but would damage the light with their higher voltage of course. The Wurkkos WK05 does not have that limitation.
@@wearandtear6692 yea? ok i di not know it ; and they are not rechargables those varta lithiumsZ?
@@HunGyilok no, they are batteries and not rechargeable. They are a 1:1 replacement for alkaline AAs. But far, far superior in every way (way lighter, 2-4x more runtime, cold resistant, storage for many, many years, no leaking) and much more expensive. Perfect for any light that you have to store away for years or emergency critical applications. Those cells don't fail. I have a lotz of them at home and a few in the car, standard alkalines I use for lesser applications.
@@wearandtear6692 so exists varta=-ithium non rechargable thanks! in fact the voltage matters as i see; not more than 1,7 must be? lower
@@wearandtear6692 i did a quick search and they realy say this; so letz see with warta liths thanks!
You can change it to tactical mode so it always turns on to turbo.
@@sel6232 cool, its even programable then!
@@wearandtear6692 This must be a joke (blue vs orange). They are exactly the same. 😅 *TAC 2AA* can do both modes regardless of its color. So yes, its _"programmable"._ Really, a quick look at the website and/or the manual before presenting/reviewing a product wouldn't hurt don’t you think so? 🙄
@Raziel_SSJ The blue one has a dedomed LED and a very different beam from the orange one which uses a domed LED. The blue version is a crazy aggressive thrower. Check out the beamshots.
@Raziel_SSJ the blue version has the sft25r hi emitter which has much more throw and a much higher candela. The other versions don't have that emitter or candela
