The Black Arts Company (BAC) is Princeton’s premier hip-hop dance company. Founded in 1990 with the mission of celebrating the black arts and bringing diversity to Princeton's campus, BAC Dance has since grown to embody much more. We aim to explore a variety of hip-hop styles from high energy hip-hop, to technical styles such as popping and house, to cultural styles of the African Diaspora such as dancehall and modern African. Our student-run biannual shows, workshops, guest performances, and choreography videos showcase the best that BAC has to offer while embodying the never-ending energy and spirit that is at the heart of this dance company. BAC continues to push its dancers, in hip-hop and beyond, without ever sacrificing the tight-knit bond of our purple family!
