What about the stirrups with the thick black rubber band on the side?

This is such a good quality review! It's the only video that I could find that actually test the fall, all the others just wax poetics. I would love to see the traditional peacock as well as the jointed models (such as sprenger) too, to see the difference and if the mechanisms actually work.

You only mention one western stirrup. Are any of the others used for western saddle?

I think this horse has DSLD - just looking at the way his pasterns are going horizontal with the earth. That is a sign and it is a painful condition with no cure that I know of.

I love that you tested the safety stirrups by actually "falling off" 🤣 Great review even now a few years later, although most of these are a bit out of my price range (luckily I have a pair of fairly cheap ones with toe cages that I'm happy with so far)

Absolutely magical.. I only rode twice during the Pandemic and I can honestly say that anytime I ride I feel "so much better" and I forget about anything that is not positive.
