No I wouldn’t spend 2000 dollars extra for the Zf because I already had a Z5 and my trusty D700. So full frame is covered but I had a number of DX lenses from my D300 so I opted for the black version of the Zfc which I bought used from Japan. I also bought the 24 F1.7 as a walk around lens 35 mm on full frame was always my go to lens. So in DX I have 10-400mm covered which suits me fine. I didn’t realize the Zf was that much bigger and heavier until last week when I was able to compare them side by side. Good review and thanks for sharing your thoughts. I also recently bought a tilt shift adapter so I can use full frame lenses on the DX sensor for more movement. So I’m quite happy with the Zfc being lighter as well so it’s become my main camera.
