It would be so nice if Dr Offit would be on the side of the victims of vaccine injuries. Maybe even advocate for a return to direct pharma liability for the vaccine injuries. There's no reason to shield the manufacters from of vaccine injuries they cause, especially if the injuries are so rare as you describe. The whole federal protection that pharma has lobbied for and received is totally unetheical and only encourages reckless and ill conceived studies, because they need not be concerned.

One of the interviewers talked too much. I waisted Dr. Dean had more opportunity to speak.

Fantastic discussion. iMEHO we should be arguing that the true measure of value in health care and particularly pediatrics ( and Ob) is that “A” true objective reproducible measure of merit is life expectancy ( which is a particular challenge for peds to measure since very long term). And if practice makes us ( kids) live longer then it should always cost more in dollars -not less. Argue starting frim position of strength -if it costs less we are dying . Last I checked health care USA costs $10000/yr . So if a process//profession etc causes us to live longer( value metric), say one month or 1/12 year, and that is for 330000000 patients then that year should cost 10000x330000000x 1/12=275 billion$ /yr. That’s what we should argue. Again IMEHO

Best lesson I've learned is that the difference between zero options and more than zero options feels infinite, but that change happens instantly the moment you find just one option. Only after experiencing this could I use it to assure myself during "no options" times of life. Telling this to an adolescent is probably pointless at the moment but may plant a seed for the future. Also, I can't tell if your target audience is other medical professionals, parents of kids with mental health issues, or people seeking information on their own mental health issues. I think you'd find more success if you knew who you were talking to because the content is solid 👍 Personally I'd suggest targeting med students - try reaching out to chubbyemu and similar YT medical educators if that's the route you take. Solid message but video production needs serious improvement. The looping Simpson's clip alone makes this unwatchable unfortunately. Keep at it, you definitely have something to contribute to the conversation and I wish you the best, but remember YT is a visual medium and presentation will undermine content if done incorrectly.
