You could try save the front spoiler vents with heat, when you heat it enough you can bend fibreglass, and it will stay in position if you hold it in place until I cools. But only hear the area you want to change, heat too much area of it and you could change the shape of the part overall.
Bro! First off good job taking on a project for your self! Second, your doing good. My only advice is more layers yes. Kits you buy are about 5 to 7 layers thick. The tape peeling on the other side is bc of the moisture I ran into the same problem on mine. I'm glad to see you learning as you go bc that's all we can do bro. But I have a few videos with a coupe pointers. Just things that work for me like using a drill to mix resin so you can save working time and get an even mix. The Ghia is looking killer tho. Keep it up bro
When working with fiberglass, you need a brush and a roller to create a stronger bond between the layers and reduce roughness. Reinforce your build by placing thin slices of fiberglass on the edges and base to avoid bending. Add a thin wire on an edge and between the layers for more stiffness!
Before I heard you mention people offering to glass it and keep the mold, I was going to suggest that you consider making a mold and selling these to people. If it does turn out badass, likely you'd sell more than a few. It's fun seeing you get this together.
Those 34ICTs are great carbs. I would throw away that distributor cap. They're junk. Also, don't get talked into Pertronix ignitor. I'm convinced they provide nothing beyond not needing to learn about dwell.
This is gonna look cool when it’s finished, do yourself a favor and figure how to mount the pieces back on the car, then add your structure in the wheel areas and wherever else to make them Rigid. When pieces are mounted on the car they’ll be easier to sand and apply Bondo than if you have them laying on the floor or on a table. These pieces are gonna end up heavy, no matter what you do to make them straight and smooth, so these will end up being your plug for a mold, so make them heavy and rigid so that they don’t move around when you’re trying to mold them to make more sets. Great job though for an amateur. I think you would have quite a few customers to purchase those if you’re successful.🙏🙏🙏
Gia's are pretty cool coming from an old dude. I've always thought they would be fun with a mid engine V/8. It's not like the back seats are really usable anyway.
Na ja so wie jungs ohne technische Ausbildung halt Tuning vorstellen und dabei alles tatsächlich wichtige ausblenden. na ja, wird er nach dem Lackieren merken worauf es ankommt. Schade um das Auto.
Hey man I noticed your "fairly" local, and I wanna say if you can and it is your passion keep on going and keep on keeping on! it looks super cool! and honestly dude it is one of them, " you dont see that anymore" especially done like that; with heart! subbing just for extra support and if you would like Im interested in helping, my 944 widebody kit is in the works so I understand the struggles!
I always wanted a KG. You are building it much the same as I imagined it should look. NICE!!! keep up the good work. I like the wood stick idea might use that someday. The wheels a sick what are they?
Absolutely love the look. Really impressive how you used low tech stuff to form the flares. The vent from tge front wheel looks just right as well. I wish I had a garage and tools so I could do the same. Great work.
Keep it up. I own a kg. I’ve been wanting to do this for years. I sold my 911 but kept the ghia I like the body better. What wheels are those that you have on backwards? Is it still 4lug?
Sweden . hello nice work , I dont know how glas fiber reakt on the blue tejp . . But i have seen a few that use aluminium foil same as in the kitchen if u use that where u from. I love that u do it your way with sticks ang glu gun. . I did the sam with my grinder and use a larger disc but i think my where to big after some use there were alot of smoke and the grinder will not help me any more :( keep up the good work
This is looking so good! I wasn’t too sure about curving that front wheel arch quarter idea, but when you cut it off I could see exactly why you did it. Really enjoying this series btw - keep em coming 😄👍
Awesome video. Can't wait to see the finished product. I would be interested in a kit if you decided to make them. Kev from South Africa
Pity about the music horrendous

Thank you! I’m still new to this 😂
Would have been better without the trash music.
To each their own. Play whatever you like. Keep up the good work!
Loving the build apart from the front spoiler. Needs to look more like a lip spoiler (singer 911 style) to match the rear. Sometimes less is more
Next time get a set of Fiberglass Roller Tools to roll the resin into the fiberglass matte more and lay it in flatter.
18:39 It is air space
Amaizing brother. I’m working on the same type project
You should check out Tofu Auto works and his Rx7 Cyberpunk Miata Build. Lots of work with foam and fiberglass.

It's an alternator, the early versions, which you may have is called a dynamo. They essentially do the same thing. Interesting build for sure.
