♦ HAPPY HALLOWEEN ♦
In Part 2 Kaylee brings the Unfortunate Herbologist to LIFE!!
OH MY GOSH I'm so proud of how this makeup came together!
Kaylee did the most amazing job with all the details, from the freckles to the bruising, I'm in love. I can't thank her enough.
I hope you enjoyed my little Halloween series, I seriously enjoyed collaborating with another artist and hopefully I can do it again soon.
Love you

BECOMING A PLANT ♦ PART 1 ♦ Unfortunate Herbologist

Part 1 of 2 in the making of the Unfortunate Herbology Student. Not a whole lot of crazy activities this week HOWEVER exciting things to come. I had the idea when I saw some old goretober prompts and loved the image of a stressed student actually sprouting from a miscalculated potion. I'VE BEEN OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF NO WHERE SO PLEASE EXCUSE THE DELAY. Was seriously scared about my art for a while there. But I realized I've basically only been drawing for you and hardly ever for myself anymore. So in the days it took to upload this I relaxed a bit, drew for myself and read books. I made it to the San Juans, but almost immediately fell on my face upon arrival... Saved the camera at least. Feeling odd this trip, not sure if it's good or bad just yet. But I've only injured myself twice so far! First my knee, and then, as of about 5 minutes before uploading, I also twisted my thumb pretty bad in some cable. Can still play ukulele though so we're good. Love you SOCIAL STUFF ...

You’re in the San Juans! I just got back from the west cost of Vancouver island! A friend has a 42ft Grand Banks, (so power boat instead of sail boat) but still a similar island experience. Calm silent mornings at anchor, and island deer that do not give a shit about people. We went to the San Juan islands two years ago and I’d love to go back. After watching this I wish I’d made more time for myself. we had bad weather early on, so spent lots of time on the boat, and I never did any significant solo exploring. I think I would’ve liked it. You’ll have to explain more about how you’re feeling odd. I find all the isolation and quiet time kinda weird-making too. I spent the first few days of my trip kinda down and depressed before eventually pulling out of it.

Super cool! And it really doesn’t seem weird to me, people are into all kinds of stuff, that’s what makes them interesting! :) Also, thanks for explaining why you like bones. Back in school I had a few friends into relatively creepy or weird things, but I don’t think I ever asked why, and they never said. And nice succulents, I have quite a few of those, though no bones.

Hank had a good quote about this the other day on Hankschannel, that making niche content means fewer people find it interesting, but they find it *more* interesting. If you are actively shooting for feeling better, just take baby steps. When you catch yourself thinking something that doesn't feel good, change it up a bit. Find a new way to look at it that feels slightly better. And then when you're up for it, take another whack at it and find another slightly better feeling thought.... eventually you feel better, AND you automatically become more alligned with your true self (or higher self, or inner self, or soul, or whatever you want to call it), and creating/painting will flow!! Example: "This mountain of laundry is rediculous! I'm such a slob", for me, at the core of it, usually translates to a sense of "I am worthless." That's a hard one to tackle, because its so deeply rooted in most of us. So first, we start with the thought... "I am worthless" So what's a perspective I can have about myself thats slightly better feeling than that? Because if we try to jump back to joyful and confident, it just feels like we are lying to ourselves, and sometimes even makes it worse. So slightly better feeling thought... "I dont ALWAYS leave my space messy. I clean it up and keep it organized SOMETIMES." See how that (affirmation) would be a lot easier to accept in that emotional place, than something like "I am amazing!!" "I completely accept myself in every way!!" Those are just too far up the emotional scale from where we are in those moments. But if we can slow the momentum of the negative thoughts with slightly better feeling thoughts, we eventually bring that momentum to a hauly, and from there can begin really climbing up the positive end of the spectrum. Life comes in waves. Yes. Everything is vibration. Yes. We will always have ups and downs. Yes. I just think it's a lot more fun and we can learn a lot more, when we consciously, actively participate in the rise and fall of our life by examining and being present with our own thoughts and feelings, and choosing to guide those thoughts and feelings towards our preferred states of BEing. Phew!! Sorry if you didn't want this word vomit of mine. It's a bit long. And if it helped... yay!! I think...?!? Lol It definitely helped me to be able to share it!! Lovin you sister!! We got this!!

Im currently returning to a part of my life that, in a lot of ways, I felt like I had lost (my backpack) and I'm really excited to, having now experienced your creation, see all my old things and the new things that have just magically shown up as part of the whole deal (my old skills and experiences becoming new skills and experiences and little unexpected bonuses) Thanks again!!
