As someone who slogged away at musique concrète splicing tape and modifying tape tape decks and instruments I ended up in a studio with an Arp 2500: I was floored. After using Moog, EMS, EML, Korg and Aries modular (never got my mitts on a Buchla) and presets the 2500 is my fave followed by the EMS Synthi A. I was amused how Ms. Radigue wrote down 2500 patches, I tried that and it never worked. I hate patch chords. Élaine's method works wonderfully.

I agree. I really like this piece! Non-melodic, but not a sound that just goes off into sonorous boredom. I find this to be the perfect balance of something/nothing. The fish coming home.
