Balcatta Community Centre is situated in Stirling’s busiest suburbs in Western Australia. The site was originally a men’s workshop which was transformed into this sustainable, urban, futuristic looking structure. The two-storey multipurpose community centre hosts a wide range of activities targeted for every age group and genders. These activities include developed workshop, art and craft, green roof, café, gallery, fitness studio, shop and many more. Our philosophy is “architecture of place in nature” and it was derived into the concept bringing nature into the design. This is established through the design of the courtyards which preserved the sites existing trees.
