This song is about surveillance capitalism and the corruption that is so deeply ingrained in politics and consumerism. It is a song about feeling the need to push back against the status quo that has been set by “the industry”, but also feeling the fear of the repercussions that come from things like protests. Through all this, it tells a tale of the ‘illusion of freedom’ that we all face in some way, at varying capacities, but also attempts to show that we as a collective have all the power.
