Robinson Cano 2012 Home Runs (33)

Re-live Robinson Cano's 33-homer 2012 season! Cano holds the record for most home runs in Yankees history by a second baseman with 204 big flies. In his 9-year Yankee career, 2012 was when Cano hit the most home runs in a single season, and it was the only year in which he topped 30 homers while wearing pinstripes. Also, Cano's swing is one of my personal favorites of all time #subscribe #histo...

Brett Gardner swiped a whopping 49 bases in 2011 (40 steals of 2nd base, 9 of third base), and finished the season tied with Coco Crisp of the Oakland A's for the most stolen bases in the American League. Additionally, Gardner and Crisp tied for second in stolen bases for the entire MLB in 2011. Gardner stole 49 bases in 62 attempts, which was good for a 79% success rate (higher than the league...

Check out CC Sabathia's performance in the 2009 ALCS that earned him MVP honors. In the 2009 ALCS, the Yankees faced off against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, a team that had given them a lot of trouble in October during the 2000s. Check out Mariano Rivera's performance in the 2003 ALCS that earned him MVP honors. Mo's name was written all over this series, saving 2 wins (Games 3 and 5) while earning the win in Game 7 with 3 shutout innings (his signature moment of the series) and also getting the final 3 outs of Game 2 (which was a non-save situation). Rivera stepped up big time in one of the greatest playoff series in Y...

Check out Andy Pettitte's performance in the 2001 ALCS that earned him MVP honors. Pettitte won 2 of the 4 games that the Yankees won in this series. Pettitte was brilliant in Game 1 on the road, silencing the 116-win Mariners to just 1 run over 8 strong innings. In the Game 5 clincher, Pettitte pitched into the 7th inning behind help from his defense and plenty of run support. Pettitte's pitch...

Bernie Williams 1996 ALCS MVP Highlights
1st ballot HOF!
I was glued to my TV for every game. Bernie was on fire. It actually started in the Division Series against Texas. He was a one man show. He cooled down during the WS, but hit a blast in game 3 I believe to get back on track. If Bernie doesn’t put on this display, Yanks don’t win it all.. Period.
.....they should've won it all in 2012..... That could've been my favorite year.
That old Yankee stadium had to be absolutely terrifying to play in during the late 90s. Probably the closest thing america has to a world cup environment
Yankee stadium should have never been torn down.
He went OFF during this series! What a legend
Needs to be in the Hall of Fame!
El Duque 9-5 2.55era in 19games 106innings of postseason baseball.. Dude was big stage money to say the least !!
He always made it look so easy!
People forget how unhittable Hoffman was considered at the time.
0:41 Sill remember that blast like it was yesterday but it's been nearly 30 years...
He had the best 4 years of his career with the Yankees
Nice vídeo man arod fans been waiting for 2004! When are you going to upload 2006 and 2008
Derek Jeter single handedly beat the Mets.
This team was dominant, consistent and well balanced on pitching, defense and run production. Any player could beat you at the plate and what rotations they had for pitching. Remember Mariano was the set up guy for Wetteland. If you couldn't get any runs by the 5th inning it was over. Just Awesome! I got a chance to watch 2 games in Texas against the Yankees while I was going to school in the late 90's. The opportunity to sit behind Paul O'Neil who is my all time favorite player was dream come true.
Jeter did it all, a once in a generation talent.
Masterclass on pitching, Incredible control and ability to place his pitches wherever he wants, always in complete command on the mound. The greatest weapon in baseball history. Yankee fans were spoiled greatly by having a guy like Rivera close for them so much so I remember him giving up a HR on back to back nights to Miggy in his final season & the NY media were wondering if he was finished.
Yankees Legend. "El Duque.
That was a hell of a team!
Bernie was the smoothiest Yankee to grace the field in my time. Professional, never in trouble, power and discipline from both sides of the plate. An all-time Yankee great!
I'm a Mets fan and I believe that's the greatest team I ever seen.
I was 11 during the 2000 World Series. 10/08. Birthday about two weeks prior. I remember because Yankees were on brink of losing to Oakland and came all the way back to the beat them, and Seattle. I was legit worried Mets were going to win. They played amazing. But I’m convinced even though they played great after, that lead off homer in game 4 won the series. Look at the Yankees players struts. Everyone in that dugouts demeanor changed. Look at the Mets? Total dejection. Right there it wasn’t that it wouldn’t be close. Or that Mets couldn’t win: it’s that the Yankees felt they couldn’t lose. I always believed the 99 season teams would have been a much better matchup. Both teams great but vulnerable. The 2000 series was closer than it appeared.
I miss Matsui ❤
I miss these Yankees 😢
As a 2001 baby 🍼 this gives me goosebumps....😢
Love that inside out swing. Beautiful
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Back when Yankees used to have baserunners.
Arod just casually popping down and away sliders 400 feet
Brosius not only had a sensational 1998 WS, Brosius was sensational in all 3 playoff rounds in the 1998 postseason. 3 games Against the Rangers = .400 batting average, .400 OBP, .700 Slugging percentage, one home run and 3 RBI's 6 games against Cleveland = .300 Batting Average, .500 Slugging percentage, and also made some nice defensive plays. One home run and 6 RBI's 4 games against the Padres = .471 batting average, .471 OBP, .824 Slugging Percentage, 2 home runs and 6 RBI's
This is gonna be Jasson Dominguez this year
Had they not blown the ALCS that year, he would have been the series MVP. The guy nearly blew Game 5 wide open only for a great defensive play to kept that from happening.
Yeah Nixon robbed him of a bases clearing double in the 6th.
Clark got run up on a really close pitch too. Count was full. Had it been a walk, that inning may have gone very different
@@salamisumo2 even as a Pedro/Sox hater. Pedro made a perfect pitch on the outside corner to Clark. It was very close, and at Yankee Stadium, it's probably a ball.
He was a mvp player literally but Ortiz stolen that from him.
Burn babby Burn🔥🔥🔥
If only the organization was 10% of what it was with Jeter
One a the few good signings by Cashman.
Idk, I’d say Sabathia was good as well. Maybe Teixeira
Cashman was more competent when he's not too deep into analytics. That said we may have kind of lucked out with Swisher considering the year he was coming off when we got him.
He fell apart in the 01 WS. Big reasons those snakes stole that title.
He was past his prime in 2001, he didn't suddenly struggled in the WS. Plus he wasn't the only one in the line up who struggled much of the WS in 2001.
Better than Arod any day
Cleveland stole 97 from the Yankees, was nice to take revenge the following year.
Most fun team to watch.
If, there was a hot for swings, he is a shoe in.
Remember how not long ago some idiots wants to put Kimbrel over Mo despite his 2018 postseason nearly cost the Red Sox? After what happened to the Phillies in the NLCS, this should end the convo.
GODZILLA
A rod the real ALCS MVP
Both were huge in the ALCS.
If Volpe develops enough to become half as good as Jeter hitting wise that would be great.
I believe if he hadn't gotten hurt in 2006, he would have delivered for the Mets that postseason.
One of the best closers in their franchise history 😛😣😞
The best relief pitcher ever.
Word through the grapevine was that Bernie got razzed by a lot of veteran Yankees during his early days back in 1991. That all ended quickly when Don Mattingly walked over to Bernie, put his arm over Bernie's shoulder, looked around the locker room and shouted.... HEY, ANYBODY THAT F***S WITH HIM, F***S WITH ME, UNDERSTOOD?! Having The Captain's approval definitely put Bernie at ease. 5 years later, judging by this video, Donny Baseball saw something in the kid!❤
Absolutely right.. Mel Hall was the one who made things tough for Bernie the most. From what I have read Bernie was very shy as a young kid and just wanted to succeed so he didnt upset his father. Extremely grateful that he ended up having a successful career and won 4 rings!
Brosius was an absolute monster in this series. That 3 run bomb off Hoffman was the dagger
That was a bomb dead center. He barreled up a 100 mph heater.
David Wells was born in Torrance and raised in San Diego. He was a total journeyman. BTW he finished career in Dodger blue. My hometown team.
He never should have been a journeyman. Im surprised that no team signed him long-term nor kept him long-term
1996 was the year the Yankees ended a long drought. Same with Joe Torre who spent his whole career in the National League as a player and a manager. Also Frank Sinatras version of New York New York brings me chills. Also beating the defending champion Braves was a very hard job to do. As a loyal dodgers fan, I do show the Yankees some respect.
