This Harley Davidson came from Copart in the U.S.A. Flood. Damaged fuel pump dead. so this is just how I replaced the pump with an aftermarket one I have been using this Copart U.S.A for years with no unwelcome surprises.

Harley Davidson Heritage Softail flood damaged rebuild fork lock replacement this one was a pig to remove I used 5mm drill to remove plug and grub screw then a 6mm tap to put new tread used a 6mm alan bolt to pin the fork lock in place then cut bolt of flush

How to register an imported used motorcycle in the UK this will help you fill out the V55 also, you will need to get insurance on the v.i.n number I have found bike sure to be the best and have had no problems getting my bikes insured.and you will need the old title or an age-related document or you may get Q plate or no plate

Harley should be liable for all the mistakes that was allowed to slide to the consumer. They could’ve been a lot better bikes.

Thanks brother! I’ll have to see what it comes up with now. Just bought this 05 Deluxe with 10k miles. Rode it home and almost there when it started sneezing through the intake. Paid $5k so can’t complain too much I guess.

l have a 1983 Motorbike now 41yrs old import from USA ,Registered UK IN 1993 on V5, They gave a 1983 Y number plate to the bike which is correct for the year ,How do you go on at the post office In order to CLAIM HISTORIC CLASSIC, if they only see the registered date of 1993 and say this is only 31yrs old according to the registered date on the V5, as there is no Manufactures date of the bike on the V5..and yet they have given a 1983 number plate for the bike when it was registered ? telling me someone has already done the this. .. If anyone has had this problem with an import please let me know and how did you get on...Cheers
I phoned dvla and asked if i should send an insurance document for 2x cb1100r,i explained i was struggling to get insurance on 7:08 the frame no.the nice lady said"we dont check insurance" i said" so i dont need it?"she said "we dont check insurance". So i didnt provide any abd i got my v5 fir both!

Hi am paul , is there any way I can get my bike off a q plat is was imported from Germany new 30 years ago I got it off the bloke that imported it, I have all the shipping documents thanks Paul
To get it off a q plate you will need proof of manufacture from an owners club or from the company that built it and then you may have a chance but there is usually a reason DVLA issue a q plate in my 45 years of importing Haley’s never had a q plate so good luck

You can insure a vehicle on the VIN, then update it once you've got the registration number.

Hi sorry it's taken me till now to get back to you registration should be simple if you have the old reg docs you will need to MOT and insure your scooter and fill out the forms I'm not sure if you will need to pay import duties hope this helps
