Yes We Have Suparinpei, But I Think Sanchin & Tensho Will Make The Practioner Stronger. 😑🚬
Next video in shito ryu
Wado-Ryu would probably be my go to, Karate style 🤚🥋🦶
Confident and fearless
Funny thing, Mr. Miyagi was inspired by a Karate master, Fumio Demura. Chuck Norris studied under Demura, which is how Chuck Norris became connected to Bruce Lee, because Bruce Lee also studied with Demura to learn to fight with nunchucks.
I loved the Karate Kid. Pat Morita played Miyagi very well but he was not a martial artist. Chuck Norris is a martial artist.
I have seen on online where wado ryu practioners have said wado should actually be seen as a combo of jujutsu/karate rather than a karate/jujutsu style. Meaning it's jujustu first and karate secondary.
Fun fact. Seiunchin was taught to Tatsuo Shimabuku, before the founding of Goju by Myiagi. So you can see it evolution in a way. Tatsuo was a farmer, and fed Myiagi in exchange of Karate lessons one on one.
This won’t be a popular thought. I’d love to read honest, thoughtful responses, as I am in no way trying to offend anyone. 1. Karate does not teach 4:16 discipline, determination or excellence any more than anyone else who is serious about their own sport. Think Simone Biles doesn’t have that kind of discipline? 2. Karate does not teach a warrior mentality. The only true warriors are in the military. Any karate person who thinks otherwise is playing pretend. In fairness, Karate may be better at teaching a peace mentality, if taught right. 3. Karate is a way of life…perhaps. There is another word for that: religion. Both have their codes, tenets, founders, traditions, heroes, rituals, etc. No judgment if you like to live that way, just acknowledge that it is religious like in nature. 4. Does karate really teach self-betterment? Or does it merely teach the delusion that the practitioner is somehow better than others? There are many ways to self betterment, and the karate practitioner must know that his/her path is just one that may or may not work for him/her.
wellll Oyama would absolutely destroy him, not even close really as Mas Oyama was very functional fighter very smart fighter and fast. no disrespect to great Miyagi sensei but Oyama isn't called the most powerful karate master of all time for no reason
Okinawan Te? Sorry, that's a very general term. The martial art that Gichin Funaloshi studied under Anko Itosu was Shorin Ryu Karate, which formed the basis for Shotokan, a heavily modified version of Shorin Ryu. I'll never understand why the mainstream always tries to bury or erase Shorin Ryu from existence and not acknowledge the influence of the first and oldest style of Karate.
Goju Ryu karate above all 🥋 OSU 🥋 Greetings from the Netherlands
Dude, Shotokan is NOT the OG, Shorin Ryu is. Shorin Ryu is the first and oldest style of Karate and you didn't even mention it. You sound like a guy who learned about Karate from Black Belt Magazine, not from actual research.
Karate isn't a martial art, it's a lifestyle... OSS
You really is incredible.I just wish I could have been doing my practices in karate. And so much more my mom is about to take me To this taekwondo school I'll do the best.I can try to become strong and have more confidence it also Try to rebuild myself into something stronger and better And also more confident.I just wish I had one chance to go back to my original karate glass So I can train with good friends and also learn from my greatest Sensei of all In a hole Lot more it is the way of life Of martial arts🥋🇰🇷🙏😌🙏🇯🇵🥋
I'm a boxer and have no martial arts experience at all but I know of both of these masters, true masters of their art, and studied their striking style and used what I could in my boxing. Remember even though there is sport karate now, karate was designed to end a confrontation in one strike, it was not designed as a sport. But some of the mechanics I found very useful in my boxing strikes. Oyama to me was the master of strikes, he put full power behind every strike and did so in a manner that was truly deadly. I found studying his body mechanics very useful.
It's amazing what AI can do. I loved how aikido's Ando Sensei became Gichin Funakoshi and how Manny Pacquiao became the face of Shotokan. I loved how Goju-Ryu and aikido Jo kata and jujitsu get into the same art..!
Love the favoritism. What great fan fiction
Oyama was a force of nature - I think the outcome would have been the opposite of that described herein. It was rumoured that Oyama could fell bulls with a single blow. Don't think I'd want to antagonise some one like that, and make an enemy of him. Animals are way more unpredictable than humans.
@@jamesbarbour8400 Agreed. I find it strange the video is titled with such sensationalism. Even if it were titled who would win, Oyama with his weight advantage and conditioning would destroy Miyagi.
@@KnuckleDusterBuster Thank you for your reply. Oyama was a real animal by all accounts - I just can't see how Miyagi would have won. It would have been a War of attrition and blocking Oyama's kicks with one's forearms is just madness - common sense would dictate that a leg is stronger than an arm to begin with - which do people think would break first - I know what my money is on.
Machida Karate, Kudo Karate and Wado-Ryu are my favorite styles because they mix Striking and Grappling modern Styles made to reality.
Kyokushin karate beat any cobra kai karate, kyokushin Is a like Tekken system, Simple punisher.
If Oyama Stand In Front GM Miyagi, Oyama Will Simply Bowdown His Head. Because This Is Asia Culture.
You Can't Compare It, Without GM Miyagi There Will Be No GoJu Ryu, Without Gojuryu There Will Be No ( Gogen Yamaguchi Gojukai, Without GoJukai There Will Be No ( Oyama) Kyokushin.
You said it before I did. I think that since Kyokushin improved upon Goju Ryu it would seem that Oyama would be the victor.
@ruser0084 The Is No Improvement If They Are Nothing To Be Improve. And You Forget Something That They Are From Deffrent Era & From Deffrent Generation. First Time Master Oyama Learn Karate Is From Master So Nei Chu The Korean GoJu Kai Karateka Master ( Diciple Of Master Gogen Yamaguchi), Then Master Oyama Became Diciple Of Master Gogen Yamaguchi, But What He Learn From Master So Nei Chu & Master Gogen Yamaguchi Is Grandmaster Chojun Miyagi Legacy. There So Many Elements In Kyokushin Is Based On GM Miyagi Teaching. Without Master Chojun Miyagi Goju Ryu, There Will Be No Kyokushin Because Kyokushin Is Improvement/ Evolution/Fusion Based On Chojun Miyagi Goju Ryu & Anko Itosu Shotokan Ryu Teaching. All Human/Martial Artis Is Debted To Our Ancestor/Predecestor For Their Good Deed To Humanity/Martial Arts, We Can Only Pay Them With Deep Respect, Carry Their Good Will Legacy & Continue The Improvements Of Human Life/Martial Arts To Be Better With Wisdom. So Why In Asia Culture Value, Descendant Repect Their Own Predecesor ( Old Master).
@@Kagak_Aktif well said. Oyama only trained with Gogen for 2 years, some would argue it takes a lifetime to master technique. A real fight would be Oyama vs Motobu. There is so many rumors of teachers after Itosu. Ripping a bulls heart out, fighting a starved tiger, killing a bull that was tethered to a pole. The thing with Okinawan Karate is, no documentation was ever recorded. It's all word of mouth
No Shorin-ryu? Go back and do your homework! It's one of the oldest styles of Okinawan karate, yet, it didn't make your list? Really? Notable practicioners include Joe Lewis, Mike Stone, Bill "Superfoot" Wallace, Jim Kelly ("Enter the Dragon"), and Tadashi Yamashita ("The Octagon"), so kindly explain why you decided to leave one of Okinawa's olderst art forms off of your list.
No Isshin-Ryu either...yikes!
Maybe you should have used footage of Shotokan!
Karate will be further ruined by sport. It happened to Judo and Tae Kwon Do.
Masutatsu Oyama was a student of Gichin Funakoshi and some 55 years years younger. This would be like asking if Mike Tyson could beat Cus D'Amato.
And doesn't Liked the Path Karate Shotokan are Following and create Karate for real man the Kyokushin a true Full Contact Karate.
@@DouglasBuenoGomes Shotokan has a couple of branches most people are familiar JKA, but there is also Kenkojuku which does have full contact sparring and body conditioning.
Is this a joke?
If only the real legend Bruce Lee wasn't taken out it would be a different story.
1. Could have done without every word flashing onscreen. 2. Verbal Scenario is hypothetical = not real. 3. Little boys are always doing these absurd comparisons! They amount to nothing at all in the end. Both are great martial artists. Leave it at that!
All fun and games until sensei Seagal ROLLS in 🤣
If it's a street fight or MMA I would think Chuck Norris. Cause he has Black belts in judo and jiu jitsu and I don't think Van Damme has ground skills. But it's just a straight kickboxing or standing then Van Damme has a chance. But it would be a good fight.
this would be a good fight it would be close but i think chuck norris would win
Chuck Norris versus anything it's always going to be Chuck winning. Haven't you read his facts? He's practically a deity. There are no memes.
Except Bruce Lee
@@mrc.tillsr7415 Bruce risked his life filming that scene. He didn't make it.
Fanfic boa
Funakoshi - Small, Phisically Weak, Lost to Motobu, Absolutely never won a real fight in his life, His Karate are more like ballet and are not match for Kyokushin Karate.
I would be to differ.
Oyama-Sensei- Chad Yakuza Bodyguard, Boxer, Phisically strong, Fight a lot in his life and spar partner of the Legendary Kimura a Black Belt of Judo too his style create strong Kickboxers.
Motobu Ragdoll Funakoshi in his own Dojo not even close and Oyama are a HW fighter there's no way Funakoshi can win.
Oyama for the win and it's not even close.
Mas Oyama should fight Choki Motobu instead.
👍. Oyama should fight the guy who beat this guy.
Cmon! Funakoshi was actually beaten up by Motobu! if Oyama fougth Funakoshi, Oyama would bury Funakoshi alive. Sorry! But that is the truth and all martial artists know that.
All respect to Master Funakoshi, but he was a small man (yes with skill & power for his size etc but please). Master Oyama would most likely put him on ice. And I'm a Shotokan practicing stylist.
What about Daniel Gaudet of kiokushin
Kyokushin not kiokushin
@@LaceyBurke-g3i Thanks for the comment, man, there are a lot of people for just one video, I'll make a part 2 and if possible a part 3
Yeah, this is no longer a theoretical question. We see these matchups all the time in MMA. Usually the wrestler has the upper hand, but there are exceptions. If a karate practitioner masters a good takedown defense and keeps the fight off the ground they can out strike the wrestler.
Gentlemen, Techniques controlled, without causing any harm. Control, Precision, Respect, the pillars of Fair competition. Yesm, the roots of any martial arts involve both grappling, chokings, armbars as well as strikes and kicks. It is only the matter of aspect whethert it is viewed from close or a greater distance. And the Rules of fair warfare involved. Paul,69, retired instructor of Karate.
Why is everone trying only fancy kicks and not simple effective kicks. Mai- Geri- yoko Geri- staight kicks are precise - power from the hips n glutes.😂
The explanation is well done but the use of the word DO is pronounced incorrectly… it’s pronounced “ Dough”
