​ it isnt inherently, absolutely. the problem is when it feels like its adhering to the, more problematic sides of said community, for me and im sure other people. when i tried watching it, it would sometimes feel like its trying to represent people in the furry community that hold the sexual attraction to anthro animals, rather then trying to tell a story with characters that happen to be anthropomorphic animals like zootopia is. plus, unfortunately, the sexual side of the furry community has the light of hateful viewer eyes, and much like racism and homophobia if theres something bad that happens that people can feel they have the moral highground it can end up being the face of an entire community rather then just the ones actually participating in the behavior. so beast stars having sexual tension in other peoples minds is going to trigger the same response they feel to seeing people in the furry community that partake in zoophilia and anthro zoo.

@@omg_notholy ah, i’ve never watched the show/movie so i didn’t know. It’s terrible that most people think and have only seen the bad side of the community. Sorry about your encounter with it.

@@ZestyCupcake_ yeah i honestly feel bad for the people that genuinely enjoy it as a hobby. being represented by people sexual attracted to animals and pdfiles is horrible and it gives the furry community a bad rep to the outside view. I've met a couple through games and servers and their overall not verry fun to be around, but on the contrast I've met and hung out with several genuine furries and they're great people. its a slippery slope of miss representation and close mindedness.

Im going to yap for a moment sorry 🙏🏽 I understand where you’re coming from, but having sexual themes in media isn’t a bad thing. Zootopia is for kids so it’s obviously not going to have anything weird in it (except that one scene with the naked resort thing 😭), but Beastars is for a more mature audience. And what I mean with this is that despite having sexual themes it’s all handled well and helps to progress the plot. Having something sexual in media is good, only when handled well. Like in horror for example, you can ki// off a character to make the show better, to progress the plot or add depth to other characters, but you can also kill off characters just for shock value or to to be edgy. Like that, you can have sexual themes to add depth to characters, among other things. The point is, Beastars uses the sexual themes really well imo 😭 ALSO I don’t think Beastars has anything to do with furrys (?) Yes, the characters are anthropomorphic animals but that doesn’t make it a ‘furry show’. I’m not a furry so perhaps I’m entirely wrong, but they use the fact that the characters are animals to show bigger problems in their world, it’s less ‘furry’ and more symbolism.

It can be rough at parts, But ive seen Anime's MUCH worse, And most people like them too.
