Hi all and welcome to my channel. My name is Michael and I grew up loving the outdoor activities, specially fishing.
I started fishing at a very young age and have caught a lot of trophy fish over the years. Fishing for me is an addiction that I don’t want to ever find a cure for 😀
I've fished most parts of Australia chasing all types of species and I plan on doing it again while capturing it on video to share. I have a list of places to visit so bare with me as I cross them off my list.
This channel will be a mix of land based and offshore fishing. I usually catch and release but I will occasionally take something home for a catch and cook.
Thanks for stopping to have a look! Find me on social media and message me if you need to chit chat FISHING or just need some tips 🤙
Every follower and subscriber on this channel makes a difference so your support is highly valued so please share with your friends and family.

Fished over 12 hours casting lures for kingfish and Tuna. decided to switch over to live bait for a little break. took out a live bait about a 100m from the rocks and after 45 minutes of being in the water it got smashed by a big Tuna, was a big splash in the water when it first got hit. A heart pumping fight that ended in my 100lb leader giving up. I will be back for more next week so stay tun...

Squid Fishing 2020 | Jetty fishing for Squid
Переглядів 31 тис.4 роки тому
Fished for a few hours with a few new products from DTD Australia. It was the first time for me trying the products and after receiving them in the mail I couldn’t wait to go out and give them a crack. It was pretty windy and couldn’t get the good side of the pier because it was difficult to get the distance against the wind but I finished with 3 good size squid. Hope you enjoy the video please...

Rod looks like Shimano’s DX series
Where is this?
0:48 did you just throw your ciggy butt into the water?
Hi is this 5500 model equivalent to shimano 14k or 18k in size?
βγαλε το κουδουνακι !!!!!! nice fish bro !
Thanks bro
I personally prefer using mono leaders rather than flurocarborn as i see flurocarbon weaker than mono!
@BoltImpact Hey mate, I've just been checking the rules on the NSW DPI site, not sure if they've changed since you made the video, but you can't bait the hooks if you have 6 on a jigging rod. Can only use the artificial lures that come on it. I think you can get bait jigs with 3 hooks if you want to bait them.
Hey mate thanks for the feedback but I know in vic it’s not allowed when I asked at the time in NSW it was a go so not too sure if that’s the same case a few years later or not.
@@BoltImpactAll good. I've never tried it before so I was just looking up the rules to give it a go. Not a criticism, just sharing the information. To be fair it doesn't seem to mention using bait so maybe it's okay - www.dpi.nsw.gov.au/fishing/recreational/fishing-rules-and-regs/perm-prohib-saltwater
My Name Bro Tony am so happy glad to see to watch your fishing Life video am us so a fiishe men aw can I get a fiishe rod I loved i love dip lay love you
Hey man good job, what size rod and reel do you use'
Thanks mate. I don’t keep a specific rod for bait but any 7 to 8 foot rod 1-3kg will do fine. I usually use my squid rods which have a 2500 reel.
Nice catch!
Thanks mate
Beginner question but do u put the swivel between the two strings to connect them?
@@hanoitripper1809 No mate I never put a swivel between leader and braid they are usually tied together with a special knot. It’s better for casting and better working the lure. If you’re finishing with bait it’s not an issue connecting them with a swivel but not for working lures.
@@BoltImpact great thanks! Just got my 1st rod ( cheap Kmart one ) and am working out the proper ways to set up
Hi... What hook number to use that kind of Fish? Scad and Mackerel?
Hi mate these rigs come pre made and are pretty cheap. Just google search pre-made bait hooks and you’ll find them. Best to cut small pieces of prawns or bread and put on them. Good luck
The only gripe I have with this reel is the weight, but that goes with the size of the reel ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . I brought this salmon fishing up in Oswego, NY. I coupled it with a Cabela's Whuppin Stick. I had no problem pulling in a 14lb salmon. I will probably use this for surf fishing this summer and downgrade to a 3500 series Battle II next salmon season to save my wrists. All of the operations are butter smooth and the bail is nice and thick and has a solid flip to it. Everything about this reel is sturdy and strong. The drag system held up to the salmon and was also super smooth. I did use a scale to set the drag properly before going out to the river and this worked out tremendously. A bunch of other guys on the river would hook up and snap almost immediately. Just because you have a good drag system doesn't do anything if you don't set it correctly.
Sorry about the late reply and couldn’t agree more mate. However the weight on the 5500 isn’t too bad but in saying that doesn’t mean I can stand and cast it for 2 hours straight! It does have a solid drag but where I was fishing you really need to pump this fish in.
1 way ticket..............1 way ticket..............1 way ticket..............
Dude in the pink shorts fishing the rocks 😂 He's like ...I think I need a bigger rod!!!
Dog tooth tuna
If only you listened to your mate and loosened 😂
Fuckin good job boys!!
Thanks mate 😀
Whoooa!! The fuckin excitement fuckin 😂😂😂
🤣 we were all happy to land it
Where in Vic is this ? would love to fish here
Pourquoi tu es loin du bord de l'eau ? Tu ne sais pas nager ?
hey mate watching from werribee. do you know the spot fishing in lorne?
Hey mate, yeah the rocks are about 5km before lorn pier it’s right after a bend. Good luck mate
Who pumps like that wtf
If you wana land a kingfish or a tuna off the rocks you better pump harder
Hi....
Are you guys in a storge unit ? Lol
🤣 no thats a shed haha the fishing shed
Really nice reels? Yeah understatement. I'd love to find a new expedition in box somewhere for sale.
Thanks mate. Unfortunately they’re very hard to com by now. I think the expedition is the best reel daiwa has made.
Can you give me some tip? I have had exactly same situation many times, while i fight with fish, always line snapped as same like you Do you know any idea to avoid that situation?
Hey mate, most snap offs like this can happen at the knot between the leader and the braid and sometimes it can happen as a result of rubbing on rock or on the fishes teeth depending on where the hook is. This one I feel it was a result of too much pressure or I got bitten off.
Good fishing mate but you do not say exactly where your fishing the 90 mile beach goes a long way. Regards. Laurie tight lines.
Hey mate thanks. This was loch sport mate.
Too much pumping bro that's why!!
Your probably right bro but I landed them the same way previously just got unlucky on this one.
Ok
hey bruh cat food is one of the best burly for yellow tail and alot more fish
Yeah bro I swear by it.. it works very well
can you eat these?
Some do but I never have
How many times can a reel go through that before it’s wore out?
It’s a Saltiga mate and only applying less than 50 percent of its drag so it will do it all day everyday for many years.
@@BoltImpact oh cool deal. I never caught a fish that big so didn’t know how hard something like that is on a reel. Badass video , great job.
Cheers bruv!
wow just about, big fish
good
amazing spot bro
Thanks brother
Would like to ask what reel you were using?
exp 5500 already full drag?
need to pump harder mate
Nice Yellowtail scad
Do you reckon 150m of 50lb braid is enough?
Hey mate sorry about the late reply. No 150m of 50lb is not enough. Depending on how and where you fish I usually take out my live bait about 100 meters out from land so your only left with 50m if you get a decent run! I think you need at least 200m to be safe
Hey bro do you reckon a Daiwa saltist hyper 7 foot 9 PE 4-6 would be a good live bait outfit in Sydney harbour with a saltist MQ 6000 with 50lb j braid?
Hey bro yeah it’s a good combo. I had the hyper pe 5 on a saltist 8000 with 50lb JBraid so your combo will be more than fine.
Rock fishing nice
what rod are u using?
Daiwa saltist hyper pe5
Trop de pompage tue le pompage
You're fortunate only your leader broke and not your rod tip, with the way you were high sticking it.
Should’ve loosen the drag
Do you have any tips on when to strike when using live baits?Do I strike when my rod is bending or it is already screaming drag?I use J hooks on live yakka
If your using two hooks on a yakka one on the nose and one on the back I would strike when the rod is bending. If it’s one hook I would wait until my drag goes off for a about 2-3 seconds.
Do you use circle hooks for livie? If so do you have any tips for using them thanks!
Yes I do mate, you can use them which ever way you want I just don’t use them of yellow tails through the nose. On squid I do it the same way as my tuna fishing video on UA-cam and on yakkas I put it through the back.
