You always have great recommendations. I added Delaware and Maryland to my TBR

Always great suggestions thank you so much for all you share and the hard work put into it❤❤
Thank you, we are so glad you enjoy the suggestions!
I love your channel, but summer is not ending soon. It’s just beginning! 😊
So glad you enjoy the channel! While the dog days of summer are here it's hard to believe summer is half over, right? Never too early to start preparing reading lists!
I''m looking forward to "Tell Me Everything" by Elizabeth Strout, due to be published in September. I enjoy your reviews!
Thanks for the recommendation! Looks like a great book.
What is the name of the app please?
You would look in your app store for MTP Library
Greetings from Wales, U.k. Love a book recommendation, will be looking at these. Thank you ladies. Matt Haig is one of my favourite authors.
Glad you found some titles to enjoy! Looking forward to Matt Haig's book!
Thank you for your time. Please how I get the library code number?
You would use your MTPL library card for access
I am from Brazil and I love so much your videos, thank you a lot for sharing your recommendations!!💜
We are so glad you are enjoying!
such good recommendations! I just finished Margaret Atwood's Penelopiad and Madeline Miller's Galatea and LOVED the portrayals of these overlooked, blamed, and completely nameless (as Galatea was only called "the women" originally) women from their own perspectives.
Thanks for the additional reccomendations!
🧡 this video ! It’s funny how it’s national librarian day or week and I looked up this video & the date of the video !
We are so glad you enjoyed the video! ❤
Great suggestions but surprised Th Frozen River was not suggested
Thanks for bringing attention to the title! This gripping historical mystery inspired by the life and diary of Martha Ballard, a renowned 18th-century midwife will be a hit with mystery lovers. So many great historical fiction out there-any other suggestions? We love to hear other thoughts!
from where i get the library card num?
Your library card number is located on the back of your MTPL library card.
Love those books!!! Love going to the libraries too 😊😍📚
Thank you! 💞
Terrific interview! Rachel Harrison had been on my radar for the last couple of years, but I didn't get around to her (so many books to read!) until about a month ago when I picked up Black Sheep. I'm officially a fan. She had me on Page 1 - a clear sign you're in the presence of great writing. I tore through it. I'm about 40 pages in to The Return and I already love it and can't wait to see where it goes. Cackle, Such Sharp Teeth and Bad Dolls will follow, and then I'll have to wait with the rest of you for So Thirsty. I'm playing catch-up here, but binge-reading newly discovered authors that you love is as enjoyable as binge-watching shows you were a little late to...just takes a bit longer. Also, I would add C.J. Tudor to the list of outstanding female authors of the genre. Her most recent, The Drift, was a beast!
Will be looking forward to Auntie’s. Thanks so much for the preview 😊
Great video from Fulton, NY
Thanks for watching!
So glad I discovered your channel. You guys are a hoot! A couple to add (you may have mentioned them in another vid) The Bookwoman of Troublesome Creek by Kim Michele Richardson Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys The Girls in the Stilt House; The Yellow Wife. And as a PS Maggie O'Farrell also won the Women's Prize for Fiction for Hamnet (one of my all time favorite novels from the first sentence to the last).
Thanks for these extra suggestions! Wonderful to hear about Maggie O'Farrell, loved Hamnet too!
Murder of Roger Akroyd is a favorite of mine! I also love books by John Dickson Carr and the Father Brown series by GK Chesterton. Thank you for sharing! I have added a few new (to me) titles to my TBR!
Glad you were able to find a few new reads!
Huge Agatha Christie and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle fan here. And then there were none is best mystery ever in my opinion hope you love it too. Spent many happy hours reading and rereading both since I was a teenage. Mysteries have always been my favourite genre along with fantasy. Within the genre historical mysteries are some of my favourites - • A Very Pukka Murder Arjun raj Gaind • A Peculiar Combination Ashley Weaver • The White Lady Jacqueline Winspear • Singapore Sapphire A M Stuart • The Murder of Mr Wickham Claudia Grey • Murder on Black Swan Lane Andrea Penrose • This Side of Murder Anna lee huber • The Anatomists Wife Anna lee huber • Murder in Old Bombay Nev March • A Curious Beginning Deanna Raybourn
And Then There We’re None is one of our favorites! Historical mysteries are a great genre, thanks for recommending these books!
❤️ loved these recommendations to get readers started in this genre. Here are some other good mysteries! Daisy Darker - Alice Feeney The Woman in the Window- A J Finn In A Dark Dark Wood- Ruth Ware Final Girls- Riley Sager The Liar’s Girl- Catherine Ryan Howard I can’t think of more right now😂 but there are sooooo many good ones!
Those are some really good mysteries as well!
Great video
Thanks!
I recommend Personal Recollections of Joan of Arc by Mark Twain. Caterina Sforza is another woman of interest for me. On the lookout for a biography about her.
Great job from northern NY
Thank you!
👍🧛🏻🎃👻
Ford PREFECT
Truly,a labor of love
So beautiful! ❤
Just beautiful.. thank you !
Great recs! I enjoy your videos, you always have such great book recommendations. The book I'm reading at the moment What you are looking for is in the library by Michiko Aoyama is very apt and definitely a book you can read in one day. This is about a librarian who always seems to know the perfect books for her clients. Thanks ladies ❤
Thank you for the recommendation!
I recently read, and recommend The Uncommon Reader, a novella by Alan Bennett. Surprisingly good.
Thank you for the recommendation!
I wish all libraries did this kind of video
Thank you! We love helping people find their next read!
@@MiddletownPL55 I watch from near Syracuse NY
Thanks!😊📚
Cackle was my first dive into horror (I am a scaredy cat 😂 ) so I understand the cozy horror label. This book will be one I will reread because it does have that feel good formula to it. I also read Bad Dolls over the weekend and really enjoyed it. I like how Rachel uses the horror genre to illustrate internal struggles that a lot of people deal with in the real world. That is what I loved about the Twilight Zone and I believe that show has inspired soooo many books and movies over the years, it was just a beautifully written show and it was terrifying at the same time. Such sharp teeth is on my TBR and I can’t wait for what else is to come. And thank you for Cackle because it opened me to a new genre of books about witches and the supernatural, it’s a new favorite for me.
Getting a lot of buzz...A Good Fortune, Pride & Prejudice set in Chinatown, NYC.
Sounds interesting! Thanks for the suggestion!
Most of these have been added to my never-ending tbr, thanks i think. Looking forward to System Collapse the new Murderbot book by Martha Wells and Thornhedge by T Kingfisher.
We know all about that never ending TBR 😂. We are glad you found some titles to add to yours! Both System Collapse and Thornhedge look like great reads too, thanks for the suggestions! 📚
I'm sorry I missed her! Any chance of her coming back?????
We hope you enjoy the recorded show. Will pass your request on!
Chinese songs start at 29:25
Great recommendations. I absolutely loved Molly Shannon’s memoir, Hello Molly.
We hope you enjoy these picks too! Thanks for the recommendation, can't wait to give it a try!
Hi Beth, I loved Molly shannon's book - I got on Audible and she narrated it herself and it was so touching, I also enjoyed Vanderbilt - he goes on tangents at times, but it is interesting.
❤ Loved Lessons in Chemistry! 🧪
Wow, thank you! I am psyched about “Her Hidden Genius” as Rosalind Franklin’s story deserves a wide audience.
Hope you enjoy!
Thanks you
Thanks
