I’ve just come across your vlog about the nicks dress ageism just about to start it. I’m going to go down 2 or 3 sizes and do an FBA. I’m glad you mentioned the shoulder falling forward as that’s something I wondered about after seeing pictures of the dress on other people. I know a couple of other bloggers have to do sway back adjustments to resolve the shoulder so maybe you could consider that. Your dress looks lovely. A black cami top would help underneath the fastenings. I don’t know why closet core didn’t put a little facing in there as shop bought items with the loops usually have theM.

I'm in the process of making this for a wedding at Christmas. I've started but making the blouse with long sleeves. Most people have sized down 2 sizes in this pattern.

Thanks for the tips on collar sizes in the Fairfield button-up. I’m actually putting my collar on the toile today. So we’ll see how the fit looks once that’s done. It’s been a slow sew, with lots to learn (a fair bit of unpicking along the way) but it looks like it’s coming together okay.

At first I thought I'm glad I get the classic box as I'm not a fan of the fabric, but...I think the colors look gorgeous on you and the dress you showed would look wonderful. That is why we get the boxes to get out of our comfort zone I think. Love your vlogs and your wonderful sewing

The fabric is gorgeous and would look lovely as a fancy pair of PJ's. Love the reaction to the tea, it would be mine as well as I hate any kind of mint tea, although I love mint sweets!!! Lotus biscuits are the best.

I was thinking a shirt for hubby. Then i thought... mayke a posh robe for yourself... get a fun fabric for your posh jammies that coordinates and add this as trim to the jammies. So its a fun and posh set.
