Cobra Eco prepared for the 2021 Revival Meeting
I still have mine 😊
My 2nd RC was bought in parts directly from the Heanor Road factory in the 80’s. Every week I’d be there at the door with my Saturday job money to buy the next part.
Great information bud, I’m hoping to acquire one to restore.
Guys, would you have any suggestion where to look for Irvine 20 engine parts. I have on fitted to my StockMaster. TIA
I do love Mardave. Love the simplicity and nostagia.
Is the motor. BRushed or brushless
Awesome bit of history! Missed a couple im currently restoring. The mercedes ITC Touring and the CLK v10! Ultimately shelf queens for nostalgia reasons! Some parts for them would be good to be rereleased 🙏
HI is this ever going to come to market?
useless video, you should have played it through before uploading it.
Bring back the off road stuff. I love my marauder but it's really old and I'm scared to run it hard due to the lack of spares.
These vids are terrible with no action and just audio. Would be worth remaking these as it would really help new/beginner builders
I had one about 1987 just about unbeatable in club racing ie low cost . Converted mine to active rear suspension! The rear shocks were mounted on a t shaped cross beam actuated by the stearing servo . So when you gave say left lock the cross beam passed the right hand shocker down ,thus increasing the grip ! The biggest advantage was if you got stuck on a track mark you could wiggle the stearing and rock the car off the obstacle 😂
How old is Wes ?
Had the mk 1 . Excellent
Unbelievably cheap, but great !
cobra fan here , still run it every week , although i am out of spares and could do with some bits ,especially diffs . i have never seen any interview with Wes so this was a real treat , thanks
This video helped me finally identity that i have a Capri Competition Special chassis, but mine has a Porsche 935 body attached? I realise i might be needing a bit hopeful here, but does anybody have a Zakspeed shell they want to sell?
Will these replacement parts ship to the US?
I do love rc cars... as much as i love the date in the video title. Believe it or not, this was recorded on my 29th birthday.
Nice collection. What shade of red is the mk1 mini? I'm looking to restore mine
How far down do you tighten the nuts on the rear suspension?
Please make some re released nitros mardave they would sell like diamond crusted hot cakes
Video is definitely broken. Keeps freezing for long periods. Shame as it seems a very informative build description.
Got my first one in 78 in the uk , veco motor or could have been os ? ... wish i still had it :(
Nice car. Do you need to finish trimming the rear wing?
No it’s against the law
Yes I have figured that out since. Never trim the spoilers.@@tonywright8294
Hey, good video - Have you done any more with the earlier car? I have just got an early one with the same box which looks like it hasn’t been touched for years and is two-tone old paint, so may be able to clue you up about colours if you haven’t already had better guidance since posting. 👍
Not yet, plan on tidying it up in the spring, any ideas on colours very welcome?
I’ve got a MK5 Capri - new in box.
Lucky, That’s rare as hens teeth!
Nice car, shame they made so few of them would really like to pick one up
Hi do you still have your stock mardave instructions I’d pay you for a copy. Thankyou
I went to buy one of these but ended up coming away from the shop with the Stock car
Can these be purchased?
Really sorry working on 2023 for more kits
Is there a way to be notified of any Cobra Kits as they become available?
I have one of these. It has white wheels so I suppose it's a later model. But it's "as new" condition. It's mint. Never been used. Red body and black chassis. Still in it's Beatties Radio Control bag!
want to sell it ?
@@MrSprocket2u No thanks it's a keeper. I might pop a video up of it when I find time to get it from the loft!
What is the part number for this brace kit? Couldn't locate it on your website
James they come in the kit
As much as I do love the Cobra, and raced one back in 1993 and just purchased one second hand for nostalgia reasons. They were always a budget car, leagues behind other manufacturers then and now. However the simplicity, price and the fun that is available will always be brilliant.
Where does the antenna Go? I've just restored one but I'd like to use it.🇬🇧👍
The method on a lot of the Stock Cars and Marauders was to drill 2 lines of holes along the radio box lid and thread the antenna through these.
@@lcb1978 cheers for that mate, I've cable tied it down the chases and it's working fine now, 👍 I've just restored a marauder and that is threaded through the servo box.👍👍🇬🇧
Are these still for sale?
Due again in 2023
Put new wheels and a new super powered motor in mine.
I had this car. It was indestructible!
In case you didn’t know the Mk2 came out in 1987 with the early style MSC which was changed to the later compact MSC sometime before 1990 when I bought mine.. which I still have. And while I’m here do you have a spare Stockmaster clutch bell?
my firs real rc car was a Mardave cobra. it was my best xass present . I really need to get it back and working but would love an eco to accompany it.
I think red and white with black or gery metal work
it would be nice if you made spares available worldwide
Always happy to send
back to fun with racing, No high cost electronics and 4 cell battery racing. All fun, with low stress.
hi, is this kit with carbon chassis still available for sale? i noticed that its not available in mardave online shop. will there be another release if its not available anymore? thank you.
I why wonder why so few people have seen this? We need to get Mardave out there...How can an RC company that's been going so long and accomplished so many firsts in RC be so little known? Stranger than fiction.
Cheers Mark we send kits all over the world and have a great following. Thanks for your kind words
Crazy nostalgia!! ❤️😊
Can the rs esc be programmed to just forward and brake Chris?
No it’s in the HR3
Is this gonna be available in the USA
Sorry not at present but never say never
Brilliant trip down memory lane, not driven a RC car since probably very late 80s but I did have the Mardave Meteor you have witch I modified to the specks in that exact magazine. Remember having my friend make the rear shock mount for me in his metal work class at school. Fantastic car witch should still be in my parents loft somewhere, I should really dig it out and maybe get it going again. Cheers for the vid bought back some great memories when RC cars where a real passion of mine 👍
Hi there just wondering if anyone has any wheels or tires for sale! Or does anyone know what tires will fit the original spoked yellow wheels! Cheers
