    The white man saved his life. That man didnt care what his color was And for a long time he never said he was white or black. Everyone just assume things. I dont like the music or anything about how he lives his life but yes there is racism on both ends. Why do we constantly gotta bring racism into it honestly

    Temptations are Rock n Roll! Rock is an attitude and a spirit. Hip Hop is rock n roll. Soul is rock n roll. RnB, Jazz, Blues, Metal. Stop letting ignorant racist white people make the definition change. Big Mama Thornton and Chuck Berry started Rock n Roll, as well as Little Richard. I am white and I know that without people of color, specifically African Americans my favorite music (Metal and Hip Hop) don’t exist without them. Rock n Roll is about taken back what the establishment, oppressor, etc has stripped from the disenfranchised. Tribe is rock n roll and that’s just facts.

    I think what JD was eluding to is a bigger convo on real vs fake. So many artists now have a huge social media presence and so much money is being poured into digital marketing for those artists but when it’s time to sell a hard ticket for a show or merchandise they can’t do it. Those 3 million IG followers doesn’t translate into selling out venues. And this is happening way more frequently now it seems. I think JD point is “I’d rather have 100,000 real people on ATL see my billboard to promote my music, label, artist, show, etc than 500,000 impression on social media”. Just because 500,000 people view content on IG doesn’t translate into them actually truly buying into the marketing and now taking the next step (download the album, subscribe to the page, etc). Not saying don’t utilize social media but combine the old with the new

    To the Cardi B point I think Lord Jamar's stance is just overall rooted in misogyny. Cardi's past doesn't invalidate anything she believes or said on that podium, not to mention he endorsed Stove God Cooks whose content of rapping mostly about selling coke & getting girls could be laid at Lord Jamar's feet as hypocrisy & double standards.

    I voted for Trump. I voted for him because I live in a fascist communist deep blue state where people hate people with light skin and care a lot about identity politics which is annoying and doesn't affect the majority of people's lives as you might think. The left loves to violate your rights and if you don't agree with them than you can be ostracized or worse. The people care about the economy which Kamala never mentions. I voted for him out of spite from the hypocrites from the left.

    The republican party has split in to traditional republicans and far right MAGAs. People thought some of the traditional republicans would vote Harris, but appears sadly they just voted for the party not the candidate. I've always thought the problem was our government's design it was never designed to be a two party system that it became. I believe if they thought it was going to be two party system they would of split thing up different so one party never gets total control which we have yet again with republicans now controlling White House, Senate, and Congress.

    Redman doesnt like Dare Iz a Darkside. He said that it takes him back to the dark times he was going through when he recorded it; his homie passed away, he was doing some hard drugs or something to that effect, etc. That's why he dont perform it at shows or talk about it, he didnt enjoy it. Music is reflective of our mood and mind frame at the given time. It gives us memories and flashbacks of where we were. Pooh is entitled to feel how he feels about the Minstrel Show. Just cause the fans loved it dont mean the artists feel the same

    I think my only issue with the Tyler album is that it's cohesion is kinda spotty at times but it's definitely dope! I'm so glad to see him grow as much as he has as an artist. instead of Khaled thinking "I never hear his music, how did he win?", he probably should think "I never hear his music, how did he win?"

      @@NewOldHeadsPodcast I just saw the video this morning. I'm glad he enjoyed it. I completely get and agree with his points. The self respect is a big thing. Female rappers today don't have express the same level of self respect the same way they used to in the past. A few were before my time, but MC Lyte, Rage, Queen Latifah, and others did it in a good light. And Doechii is getting there. She's detoxed herself while making this album. Doesn't drink, smoke, etc anymore and she's just getting it all out her system. Also, Queen Latifah has met her during one of her performances and loves her. So I think she knows that she's in her right space to be receiving love and respect from those that came before her. I think she'll have a healthy career. Just hoping TDE let's her continue to be her authentic self vs the rest of what we have in the female rap music industry.

    Method Man could just file a DMCA complaint and get it taken down. The burden of proof would be on the remixer to prove he has the copyright to the record. I've even filed one and it was very simple.

  • @DJSkandalous
    @DJSkandalous 25 днів тому

    Also I would have been okay with taking it down. But Method Man has been attacking me online for years. With post on IG, Facebook and name dropping me on Drink Champs. It has brought hate and death threats from his fans due to his post. I do not support that

  • @DJSkandalous
    @DJSkandalous 25 днів тому

    If you look at the top of the screenshot Method Man posted it says REMIX. It has always said that at the top of the description. When I made that I was alot younger and Eazy-E verses weren't readily available. Also 2Pac had two verses on there that got removed. I already had a established fanbase of 100K followers before I put that song out. I never said it was official or the original and it was my pre established fan base that helped it grow. Also when 2Pac got removed, the monthly views fell from 7 million to under 2. So let's keep it a buck, whose star power was bringing in the views along with my established 2Pac fan base. As for the video editing. I get what you mean. But the video isn't never seamless. You can look at all the parts and tell it's different locations. The video is there just for the listener to watch something. Because a photo doesn't always keep longterm viewership. As for the name. Thats a double edge sword. The song uses the hook from Built For This Too which is why the name stayed the same. However back in the day, when people made remixes...they usually kept the same name. Like when Q-Tip does remixes it's just the same name listed as a remix. So alot of us followed that formula. I was one of the first on this platform that would make my own titles for these creations. But then you get push people that claim fake names confuse the masses even more because they aren't real song titles in the catalog of the artist featured (especially solo songs). So again it's a double edge sword. Also mind you a full remix of all original vocals with Meth and the original artist was made first over the beat. That came first. Hence the same name. Regardless, I made that for fun. His publishing always had a claim, 2Pac had a claim, Bow Down had a claim. And who knows how a single claim gets divided to the original artist of the original song. Maybe they are cut in too. So that really divided all this. I reached out years ago to put down the Animosity. I told him I would promote him and put his latest releases in the description and pinned comment all the time if he would like. He slapped my hand away and told me everyone knows Wu. However when he made these post, alot of fans spoke about all the content Method Man and Wu-Tang used from other sources. Wu Tang the name, iron lung, john blaze....all not original. Rza using millions of samples. They showed his hypocrisy as they were sued a dozen times over using samples. But regardless, he also got comments from people all over the world saying "i never knew who you were until I found this remix". Comments saying people in Europe discovered him by way of the remix being randomly played. He can argue this ain't true but seeing how Summer Jam had almost zero reaction, there is a generational gap. And this was free promotion. Anyways he removed it. So there goes that I do understand where he's coming from. There are hundreds of Method Man remixes. Most are off beat. Mine was not one of them. Eazy sounding the way he does is because he was lined up like that in the 24 hours to live remix and some parts had to be moved around because the acapella had background singer vocals overlapping. This mix is 7 years old. All before Ai tools that extract acapellas available. I feel im more targeted because it randomly grew bigger than his whole catalog. I didnt think that would happen. There are channels that make hundreds of remixes with WuTang. These have millions of views too. But he doesnt go after them too
