Build a Nelson Bench!
Переглядів 15 тис.3 роки тому
Finally... a new video! Can't believe the last time I posted a video is more than a year ago! I've always wanted to have a bench at my entry way to organize and put on or take off my shoes. In this video, I built a Nelson bench - an iconic piece that was designed by George Nelson to join his Herman Miller Collection in 1946. Here's my plan if you are interested: svww.weeblysite.com/product/nels...
3-in-1 Step Stool
Переглядів 2704 роки тому
This step stool set has a big and a small stool. They can be used separately or stacked to become a step stool. When not in use, you can hide the small stool inside the big stool! I used cherry to build the project. The pieces are jointed by dowels. I used figure 8 fasteners to attach the stool top to the frame to handle wood movements. To finish, I used Watco danish oil and a few coats of spra...

Build a router table cart!
Переглядів 28 тис.4 роки тому
If you build your shop inside your garage, making tools mobile is a great space saver! In this video I built a mobile cart for my Bosch RA1181 router table. Hope you find it useful and inspire you building your own! Plan available at: svww.weeblysite.com/product/router-table-cart/1 Tools/Parts I used in this project: - Bosch Benchtop Router Table RA1181: amzn.to/34ybWAh - Bosch 1617EVSPK Wood R...
so informative thank you!
Thank you. Nice video. I just ordered your plans, and I will update/modify to fit my needs. Can you tell me the height of the router table not including the fence? I do not have the router table yet, and I am curious. Thank you.
Great build, but the plans can be so much better. Confusing and no step by step instructions. I should’ve just winged the build without buying these awful plans
Did you use 3" castors or 2" castors. Your video indicates 3" but when I click on the link it brings me to 2". I purchased the plans but it is not clear on the diagrams? Thank you.
Do you have a plan for the table saw cart also?
Very nice video and clean execution of the project! All the best, Rob in Switzerland
Nicely done
Great design! Love the bottom compartment for the router case.
Nice video and table. I appreciate that you show what you are building first.

I don't understand the jig dimension I'm stuck at this step right now. I have a 3/8 space 3/4 away from the blade. Is it supposed to be 3/8 away from the blade?
These plans are not the greatest. Verbal audio to along with the build would aid this subpar plan.
I love the concept, I paid for and downloaded the plans and found them very poor.
Great Work!
Great job! Love how you built simple but effective. Looks sturdy and fancy. Subscribed!
I bought the plans. I can't wait to build it!
One of the best explanations out there when it comes to the dado-part. I struggle with that, this helps. Doing a variant of this for my girlfriend, this vid is very helpful👍
The link to the plans doesn't work :(
Your garage workshop looks very similar to mine. Your equipment is also similar. Thanks for sharing. I will be applying this design into my router table cart.
Man, that's nice. You created something beautiful!
I just bought the same router table. And am looking to build a mobile cart as well. The router cart looks great good job, I did sorta the same thing with my drill press but slightly lower build quality.
Great project! Excellent job. Thanks for sharing your work. I just purchased the same router table. Now I need this cart!
Thanks for sharing your plan! I'm trying to reconcile something regarding the dimensions. On the Herman Miller site, it looks like the current reproductions they make have odd dimensions; for example, the depth listed is 18.11 inches. However, all vintage benches I have seen online list the 18.5 inches you use. Did you learn anything about this discrepancy in your research? Thanks again.
Thank you so much. The only plans online were these, free from Montessori, until you log in, then they want over $10, OK, fair enough, til you go to pay, then it turns out that's US, they want well over 20 NZD. Nice to give them a poke in the eye, and help out the kids at our small school with book cases
I wasn’t able to get the instructions on your site. What size is this overall
Good job man
Man safety first you wear gloves doing this kind of work.
Wow! What does your garage woodworking setup look like? Are you still able to fit 2 cars in there even with all those tools?
It can fit 1 car if I move them away to corner. That’s why I always build them as mobile units.
Size each parts please🙏
I have the same drill!! Just starting to get into woodworking myself, you've earned yourself a sub :) (ps, it's Johnny)
Thanks!
I get zero comments and I can't believe it, you have done a wonderful job thinking of your baby. congratulations it has been spectacular. ❤️
well done mate, great work, thanks for sharing the plan, which file is it, dwg or 3dm ? it motivates me to do it by my own. greetings
I put them into a pdf!
What is the dimension?
I’m pretty upset !! I spent 30 minutes to figure out how to download sketch up then uploading your “plans”. Only to find out you don’t have clear cut lists. This is a rip off and you should do your customers a favor and make it more clear. A simple list of the cut dimensions would work. But you use this ridiculous 3D program that doesn’t include all the info to complete your product. You have my email, please make this right. I urge everyone to reconsider buying these so called “plans”.
Bought your plan but can't open file, is it possible to convert to PDF file? Thanks.
I've watched many videos on different types of cabinet for the router and yours is just right for me. Great video, thank you.
Dude, love your video. Might want to provide more detailed information on your plans.
i just bought the plans but don't have sketch up, can you email me a pdf?
7 July 2024 UPDATE: After learning a little bit about using sketchup, for example the tape measure and the zoom, orbit, and pan features, this plan is much more usable. Time to go back and give it another watch! Great video, but not so much for the plan. I bought the plan, thinking that there would be detailed measurements, but instead found an exploded view of the components, with some of them having no measurements at all. I know that $5 isn't much, but I expected a little bit more than this. Sure, I can probably go through and figure out what the measurements would be, and in any case, end up with something that is workable. But then, why pay money for a plan?
What a joke. I just wasted my money too
Glad I saw this comment. Not even a cut list?
@@large_eddy Not that I was able to find. Since I bought it, maybe I'll go back and check it out again, since it's been a while.
✌️ Promo-SM!!
Loved you on Silicon Valley.
Hello.........I purchased your plans and loaded them in sketchup but was looking for a cut list or a more detailed....i.e., with dimensions for all of the plans......am I missing something herel...........??????
We got bamboozled. What a scam
Love this! What a wonderful idea! I would like to make one as well!!Thank you for sharing :)
How to make it non-stick?
Incase you haven't found your answer, just use wax!
I can’t download the plans. It seems I must have sketchup. Can you mail me hard copy? Or what should I do?
Just purchased the plans as I have the same router and table. I’ll let you know how it turns out 😁
I love how simple yet effective this is. Well done.
Consider adding to the base in back so you have a place to store the table when you want to use this cart as an extension run-out for your table saw.
Nice work. I have the same router table and have been looking for ideas on building a cart. Thanks for sharing.
