Hello, thanks so much for your feedback. I greatly appreciate it and I’m glad that it has been thought provoking for you. A main influence is the short film “Meshes of the Afternoon” ( Maya Derren, 1943, USA ) Both this film and my film are both experimental/avant garde pieces that are deliberately supposed to be vague, ambiguous and weird. When making films, the main thing I prioritise is narrative as I feel it is the most important element of filmmaking (in my opinion) , even if the story itself is very difficult to read. You are correct in thinking the main plot point of this film is reflection as there is a visual theme of mirrors and the fact that the Masked Woman is staring at herself , showing there is some sort of internal conflict between themselves - hence the title “VIS A VIS" , Latin for “Face to Face”. But as to why the person is broken on the inside is for the audience to make their mind up on themselves , it’s their own reading of the film and their personal experiences is what they interpret for this fictional character. It’s supposed fo be thought provoking and everyone is supposed to view it differently. Thanks so much again! Main Horrible Histories with the original cast ended in 2014. However in 2017 there was a revival of a season that had a new cast and a new format centring round a person / event ( e.g romatics / shakespeare / great fire of London ) instead of a series of unlinked sketches like in the OG. But my episode of gory games was filmed in 2017 and aired in 2018

@@mise__en__scene9670 By main horrible histories I simply meant the show itself, reboot or no reboot. Didn't realise this spin off carried on into the reboot though until I first watched this episode on UA-cam

yeah , yeah - It got a whole 5 seasons - although i noticed in the final season there was only 10 episodes made , unlike in the other seasons where there was 12 or 15 Not really sure why that is

I have this episode on DVD as Gory Games sent this to me and none others ; I am Leon who appeared in the episode as a contestant. The only reason why I have uploaded it is to try and prove IMDB I was in the episode to help out my career as an actor and comedian.

@@mise__en__scene9670 If each contestant gets a gift of the DVD of the episode of GG that they appeared in, perhaps you should try and meet up with as many ex-contestants as possible! Imagine a reunion between you all!

I sorta did. I’ve for the DVD that the Television studio sent me - I recorded that and put it online ONLY to prove to IMDB that I appeared on that episode , as I’ve been at war with IMDB as they don’t believe I was on the episode - so yeah :)

I can't tell you - but what I can tell you is that all three of us wanted to lose so that we could get filmed in the gunge hahah. I won , and was saved the mercy of having to be wheeled around in an empty bath covered in slime in the television studio once the filming had finished , as the producers did not want slime all over the place !

Hahaha , yes , now that you mentioned the unnecessary costume change and change back , I completely see your point - I've never really noticed it being quite useless in the film - as you said , it would've been better to cut it completely. Cheers for the feedback , as it establishes a point of where to improve
