I’m a barritone but also have a 2 toned voice. Would it be bad for me? My voice hits the 60hz as well as being as high as a tenor range. Would that curve in the low end be bad for my voice? I have some songs on a channel call “Serv3re” that can give you an image on how my voice sounds.

If you don't sound good in the SM7b, its either poor mic technique or poor mixing.

Good video, Kyashi. The fact you can have choices between dual PC's or PC/Console combination is sweet. I'm looking at other audio mixers & coming down to final three (Beacn Studio, Roland Bridge Cast or Go XLR). I'll continue to look around.

Does the 3.5 mm headphone jack work with headphones that have a microphone? Or do I Have to use an XLR mic? I have been looking for an audio interface that will seamlessly allow me to use the same headset with mic on two pc's at the same time for streaming. I have an XLR mic, but I prefer to be able to use the wireless mic as well if I am away from the pc when chatting with friends. And I cant find any conclusive answers to this

So, when I speak normally, and I play it back, it sounds really quiet, but when I speak loudly, it picks up the crackles of my voice and it hits the red threshold frequently. Any tips on fixing this? My windows setting is at 75 btw

Useless advice really

I don’t stream or post to UA-cam or anything like that which I’d need a nice mic setup for just casual gaming with some friends but I got a stand alone microphone primarily for meetings that I take from my home office, I really hated the way headphone mics and laptop mics sound in meetings and it’s really easy to misunderstand people. I didn’t want to spend a fortune so I bought the razer mini and this video was immensely helpful in making it sound like I spent a lot more. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.

0:20 That's not the Shure SM58 (from 1966), that's the Shure Beta 58A (from 1996, so 30 years later). It's a completely different microphone with a neodymium magnet, and it costs about twice as much.

I’m not sure about this. The sm7b is really round and smooth. To me, the appeal is that it’s easy to manipulate with eq; ie a high shelf and low cut. The sm7b brings out the natural bass of a deeper voice and compensates for voices that don’t have a lotta bass. That’s why Michael Jackson used it to record Thriller and also why Joe Rogan uses it just as often. ‘Mics that work best for your voice’ is more a condenser microphone type of thing.
