I am upgrading to R5 m2 still keeping my R7 🤘

Had the r7 for a year and a half and just got the 100-500 + the 1,4 extender. The lens is a great step up from the 150-600 Sigma C, although the sigma gives some great images the added stabilisation with the canon lens up the keeper rate quite a bit. The downside is the premium price. The extender on top of that price = expensive. But works great if one remember to only use it with really low shutter speed or in bright light.

Hi unless the light is real bad there is no problem 500mm is still a good reach on a crop body like R7.But these cams are good on high ISO too.you can go for it .Where do you live?

I also use a RF 800mm f11 if light is good .Mostly for close ups i use rf 100-500 at 500mm f7.1

You dont need to adjust anything once you mount it the aperture will be fixed to f10 and you just need to play with ISO and shutter .I use it a lot when light is too good

1.with RF-EF converter wont effect any functionality and will work very well and it does not effect the AF speed too 2.Sigma 150-600 contemporary i used with R7 for 1.5 yrs indeed with low light the lense struggled a bit and lack the af speed 3.if you can get a ef 400 mm will be great else for the budget go for Sigma 150-600 sport model 👍

You can go for 600mm f11 or 800mm f11 they are pretty good or go for 100-400 EF mount which can be used with an adaptor on RF cameras.

The problem is with Sigma 150-600 with 1.4x doesnt perform very good for dynamic subject for slow moving of static and video its usable.Canon 1.4x better than sigma 1.4x .Thanks
