Just give them the block 3 super hornet upgrades, upgraded ge 110's and semi stealth features and they can take them down before the Sukhoi can. That is the purpose of the legendary advanced f14 family

I've seen Tomcat's stomp Hornets in a one-circle before. But generally you have to do the flaps "cheat" and don't wait 3 seconds before you make the turn lol. Even without the the flaps technique, given the speed he was going you should have been able to turn inside his circle, but the Tomcat is a beast to control and you have to be light/very precise on the controls. Can't tell you how many times I forgot and snap rolled away from someone I was going after. The Hornet is just so easy to fly. Pull the stick and it goes where you want it to.

For environments with lots of targets, A-10 wins over especially with the F-15Es current state of development. However, once the F-15E is complete in development for the new TGPs, Mavs, DL, HMD and etc it will absolutely be the best platform for strike and maybe for CAS missions.
14 thousand pounds in jdams and 22.4k fuel with 4 amraams. Since the a10 can't even carry amramms let alone bvr.... Well you get the idea.

and
F-15A, B, and C are reffered to as the "Eagle." D, and E are the "Strike Eagle." The F-15EX is reffered to as the "Eagle Two."

@@CK-lp4is nope. The A-10 can carry the same (if not then comparable) rockets and missiles, its loitering capabilities are superior, and no one beats the brrrt.
Have any of you noticed how when maverick goes low to confuse th Su 57s targetting system, the Su 57 had a problem targeting the f14 even with a more advanced target system but then when maverick got behind on his tail he was very easily able to lock and fire a missile bruh the movie makes no sense in actual dogfight I love the F14 Tomcat the most but honestly speaking it cannot win against a SU 57 it's not possible
There's one plane that can beat the 57 and it would be none other than the mighty American f22-raptor

in a guns only dogfight the F-14 has a slim chance of winning since (in DCS) she is one hell of a dogfighter and in BVR a somewhat better chance her radar is one of the most powerful which is impressive of something from the 1960's and its only recently that the AWG-9/ APG-71 have been matched and of course the AIM-54
Correct me if I am very probably wrong Maybe the SU-57 had problems on low terrain due to their jammers affecting their planes at very low altitude while Maverick's F-14 simpler heat seeker allows it to lock on without being affected?
@@guts-141 That part is not entirely wrong, when chasing an airplane that's at a constant distance, the radar may have trouble picking it up due to zero doppler filter. But I'd say that's a lot more likely to happen on the 14 than the felon. But in reality, at this distance, no pilot with half a brain cell would use anything else except a heatseeker, unless they're out of heatseekers or something. And heaters don't get confused by the ground, unless somebody's making some really mean barbecue down there. Well, at the distances in this movie, the missiles won't even have enough time to arm. The whole fight in the movie is too close and too slow. They're chasing each other, they should be almost always in full burner most likely supersonic after the first dive on. Instead, they're doing low speed low G maneuvers like it's a cruise flight. The limit is either the pilots passing out or the wings being ripped off, they're nowhere near that.

the strike eagle can do basically anything the a-10 can do, just not as well. both are great in my eyes.
A-10 is slow and has low payload capacity. There's a reason they want to get rid of it. The F-111 had more tank kills than the A-10 did in the gulf War, and far less friendly fire incidents... The only benefit to the A-10 is that its durable and cheap. Also has a direct fire capability with its 30mm, however this is outdated in today's combat.
yeah exactly, the 30mm was useful against Taliban ambushes in the woods but in a modern day battlefield it's basically useless
1) the a10 has a massive payload capacity 2) it's not cheap
@@erik33107It's payload is less than most multirole/strike fighters, and a fully loaded a10 is even slower than it already is. An f-15e can carry twice the payload while still going 3 times faster
