Olsen imo should’ve won the judges seemed to weigh the slight knock down (he was on his knee for 6-7 seconds) however the total percentage of landed power shots with clean combinations while controlling the fight more due to hard counter off defense to analyze this opponents strike pattern to counter effectively on opening
Blue gotta step it up and stop being so nice best of luck but somebody gonna hurt that guy if with him not even trying to make contact nor block or dodge 😳😳
Numa, the dude who won the fight used that stuffing someone's nose strategy to suffocate the opponent that John Jones loves so much. I don't say this to take away from his strategy, because obviously what's legal should be used to its fullest effect. I do wonder though, if this should be disallowed. It's not a matter of danger like certain elbows, and eye-pocking, rather the intentions would be to keep the sport more within the confines of combat itself. Sure this can, and is used in street fighting, but so are many things that have been made illegal since 1993 when UFC first began. I also think fighters should be allowed a regulated form of leg-pads. The fact that some fighters lean heavily in this strategy, can be very dangerous to the knees of the fighters, not to mention that most of the serious leg breaks come from these exchanges. I am sure Muay Thai practitioners would get pissed at my comment, but fighters don't have to know Muay Thai to lean heavily on this strategy that not only opens the door for more long-term injuries, it can also take a little bit away from the beauty of seeing different mixed martial arts disciplines clashing with one another in their true form.
