This is Divyesh Variya. Thanks for joining my UA-cam channel DD Fluids.
I am working at the FOSSEE, Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay as a Research Associate. We like to serve CFD concepts with physics in the simplest way possible. Hence, in all of my video tutorials, you will see simplicity even in very complex problems.
I would suggest you do simulations on your computers as well while watching the video. Hands-on experience will help you in debugging the problems you encounter.

Comparison of VoF and Euler model with different interface compression

Using two different solvers of OpenFOAM, interFoam and multiphaseEulerFoam same case is observed for different interface compression values. An additional thing you should know is there are multiple interfacial forces applied in the Euler model and due to that shape of the bubble is different as well as there is a delay in bubble reaching the top surface of the air. Thank you very much. However, when I type "notepad.exe ~/.bashrc" the message that bash: notepad.exe: command not found..." appears in the terminal. What could be the alternatives for it? Could you please suggest few ways to open notepad and trouble shoot my paraview issues.

Is there any difference with Openfoam 2306?
Some things to note: For OpenFOAM 11 users having issues: 1. Add "sourceInfo" without quotes above {set c0;} in topotSetDict 2. Change action subtract -> action delete in topoSetDict

@@muhammadrahil9079 Might be useful to see if chatgpt can help by specifying your version. It seems that there is a large amount of variation between different versions of openFOAM

"---> FOAM FATAL IO ERROR: Unknown patchField type parabolicVelocity for patch type patch" why do I keep getting this error. I set the type "codedFixedValue" and then name "parabolicVelocity" I dont get it :(

If I try to uninstall paraviewopenfoam510, I am forced t unintsall openfoam11 too. If I write in the terminal "sudo apt-get remove paraviewopenfoam510", I get the message "The following packages will be REMOVED: openfoam11 paraviewopenfoam510 0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 2 to remove and 0 not upgraded." Any advice for this?

subtract action dont work v11 and you need to write delete instead
Hi I am facing some similar issue in blockMesh. Suppose this is T-Mesh and involvs only 2 blocks. If it is a C shape mesh and I want to combine 2 blocks with one base block(Total 3 blocks). Is it possible to do that way? Or Is it compulsory to split base block into 3 blocks which will be total (Total 5 blocks in number). Kindly let me know this will help me alot.

Hi..tnx for sharing. to view the results you can also use the Paraview installed in Windows OS. You just need to type "explorer.exe" to see where the results are stored, open Paraview and open the *.foam file you created.
