Hi Terry😃🙌Oh, a pendulous brassavola species🥰I have my 2 brassavolas inside now. I took them in early, it's still about 68/59℃. The weather is entering the dry season. I just got my dendrobium specio-kingianum yesterday. It's a white flowering variety. Thanks for sharing Terry and enjoy your brassavola acaulis😌🤲💞

Hi Terry😌🙌It's been a while. I see beautiful flowers in your greenhouse🥰I have all my tropical orchids indoors now except the dendrobium nobiles thaw will stay outside. I have a dendrobium specio-kingianum delivered today, hopefully. It's a cold hardy variety and I'll test that theory this Winter. I enjoyed Watching😌🤲🌟

They look all snug and warm inside I still have to move a few more indoors soon, hopefully tomorrow!

Hi Terry😃🙌The show looks amazing🥰How are your orchids doing?

I got a $14.99, 3in pot, "Orchid-in-a-bag" from Lowes or Hope Depot sold by Better-Gro labeled "Hausermann's Gala x Hausermann's Jade "Lake View" 3/31/16-10/5/17" in/around 2019/2020. It is a Blc/Rlc with big, heavy white/lime-green petals and sepals with a bright purple tip on the lip. It is now about a $50-$60 size plant and just bloomed for the 2nd time this year! One flower in late May 2024 and 2 flowers on Oct. 2nd, 2024. Unfortunately, I can't find any pictures of the exact flower when I Google the name exactly as on the tag from Better-Gro. The flowers never fully open some reason (almost all the way, but never a really flat presentation), but they open more, are heavier, and have more lime-green color in the petals and sepals if I use a fertilizer with more prosperous (K). When I use CNS17 Bloom (2-2-3) hydroponic fertilizer I get heavier flowers with more color, but I don't get as many flowers as with Jacks Classic (liquid) (3-9-6). Could I not be able to find an exact picture of my flower because it was a 1st time cross/hybrid and therefore it is an "original"/unique flower?

Angraecum 😌🙌💖Must be a good fragrance Terry. You've been having a lot of humidity so you say. It's like soup here it's that thick. We had a week of rain from the latest cyclone. The garden mounted orchids are good.I have an angraecum distichum hanging in my home growing in sphagnum in a tiny wire basket. Hasn't flowered yet, but grew a bit. I just got my new purchase today Brassavola little stars. It's such a healthy large plant from an expert grower here in Japan. It was in a plastic pot, so I mounted it. The roots are in excellent condition. I hope I did a good job. Thanks for sharing the most fragrantest orchid Terry🤲🌟

Very clean speciosum! Those little bracts are potential spikes. I have seen that occasionally they don’t all create spikes and may bloom the year after.

Hi Terry😌🙌I would bring them into the greenhouse ASAP Terry. I have only 3 Cattleyas Terry. I lost 3 and one has a rotting issue, but that's my fault for not mounting them when they want it. The dendrobium nobiles are much easier to grow for me, and I notice that arundina graminifolia does well and Lycaste because it loves to get a lot of water. Also Coelogynes is great, my neighbourhood has three and brings them out in Summer, and back inside for Winters. She says that she waters them morning and night Terry. Cymbidiums are great too. The Laelias are much better to grow than Cattleyas because the extra water and even cold spells don't damage them and they are tougher. I often see masses of Laelia on a channel in Brazil growing on rocky mountain regions where temperatures are extremely hot and get quite cold. Zygopetalum is another one. I got a beautiful phaius flavus Terry that has large Lycaste-like leaves with bulbs and in Spring beautiful yellow blooms that are lemon fragrant. It survives the unheated greenhouse in winter with a bit of water. Oh, and my Pleione Orchids are growing and looking great. I am going to buy more next year.

Hi Terry😌🙌I love your new orchids. The speciosum is a good size and great reasonable price too. I used to have a huge one back in N.Z.They like volcanic rock and barb medium and water copiously in Summer with some feed at times. The epicattleya volcano trick has unreal blooms that I see on the internet🥰The cattleya penny kuroda is beautiful too💖I love the brassavola as well💞

Hi Terry😌🙌That is cool temperatures Terry and low humidity. Does hosing the ground help bring up the humidity? I hose the wall and ground thoroughly at night to keep the humidity nice and high. It makes a difference I feel. That fogger machine looks neat Terry. Does it help?

Ohh man, that's way too wet for a Masdevallia! Try keeping it cooler and in a clay pot with packing peanuts at the bottom and tree fern. Also, do not pot too deep, Water just before drym but allow it to slightly dry in between waterings.
