The best watch for 25$? In-Depth review of Sekonda stainless steel watch
Переглядів 7 тис.5 років тому
In my first video on this channel i will be reviewing the sekonda men´s stainless steel watch! Is this the best watch you can buy for 25$?
I was only interested in the watch, the rest was an expensive gimmick that’s past on to you in the cost of buying that watch. As for the watch, sadly it was far too thick and bulky, looked heavy, again an exhibition case, just like all the others, offended by that strap, again, yet another gimmick. It’s a shame they couldn’t have made something like a reissue from the 1950’s using 1950’s components, other than what other watch makers were making in 2023. Would I buy it, no, I have some 1950’s Ingersoll’s, much better quality, don’t get me wrong, as that watch was an achievement to be proud of, sadly not for me.
just got a Michigan yesterday. good watch.
I dont know . To be honest with you , i didn't like this watch's look. I prefer my PRX Powermathic 80
Very helpful video! Loved it so just got the watch as my birthday gift. I have experienced one peculiar issue though. After wearing it for more than 2 hours I get a very bad wrist pain. Iv restarted to wear watches after many years so I am not sure of my wrist is not used to it anymore. However, I'd be happy to hear your thoughts.. thanks in advance
Sekonda straps are not comfortable or of quality.
hi there, is the strap grey or black in this watch?
I bought a seconda watch in autralia. Cost $60. Six years later it was stuffed. I'll stick with citizen eco-drives
Sekonda isn't Japanese
Se ve un reloj de mercadillo no me gusta nada
It's a great watch, but your camera focus is not.
In you entire video. The watch is out of focus and there are no clear close up shots also.
Hey Daniel, great review. Since it's been two years since you got this watch, can you tell me how is it right now? Does it work the same? Do you recommend it? Thanks.
What is the case diameter?
Rolexs and pateks have always been expensive as they are luxury Swiss made watches
What model is this
slava
@@pistiberez Glory glory hallelujah.
This is a good video!
Hi Daniel. Is the watch still in good condition after one year of wearing? I would like to know if the Golden circle has faded away or wore out.
I really like my Ingersoll watch, but are you really 100% sure that one was made in New Jersey? The rest of the watch community is pretty solid on them being owned by Zeon Holdings, a UK subsidiary of a Hong Kong company which bough the British side of Ingersoll in the 90s. The US side went bankrupt after the WW2. They range from using Chinese Huangzhou movements, which you can find online and order separately for about $20 or - probably much better - Seagull movements. Ingersoll just brand the rotor in either case. The company is firmly rooted in China and I would be very surprised if any of the product line has been near a US watchmaker. Grey market they go for about $100 if you don't mind waiting for the model you want to come up, which is great value. I wouldn't pay more than $200 personally. I don't understand the point of the expensive box. Just put the value into the watch; that's what people are buying.
Maybe buy and sell one on then ask mum and dad for money your even appropriate it more with your watches
Got mine today (2021 Christmas eve). Good Watch overall, but why days are displayed half in english, half in spanish?
received an early present yesterday with this design.
Great video
is the watch mesh strap adjustable as far as loosening or tightening it?
Today I walked into a jewelry store to get a battery replacement for my Bulova watch. While waiting, I was browsing their watches since I was planning to get a watch I can wear for my friend's wedding next year, and this became my instant Apple of the Eye! One sales associate came to me and I ask if I could have a closer look. This Tissot Pr 100 Chronograph perfectly describes what I am looking for. Just got it today! Love it!
good video, but how do you set the damn thing?
Just purchase this today! And it’s beautiful!
Excellent review. Thanks !
Hello, thanks for the video, i just have a question, do you know hoy big is your wrist in cm? Have a great day.
you can try the Moondrop Blessing 1 they have this kind of box too
Bro what is the lug to lug size?
Who’s going to wear a wooden box and what value does a tin card hold? For the life of me I don’t understand why these guys spend time mesmerizing a glorified shopping bag.
Brother, relax. It signifies a bigger picture. It shows that the company care about the products and are willing to put a bit of money into presenting it in a nice and elegant way
I got this yesterday, and I love it. Also, I hope you're doing well. Thank you for doing this, looking forward for more. Cheers.
Wow, thank you for the nice Comment! Are you interested in me making smartwatch reviews or are you only interested in mechanical watches?
@@danielswatchcollection9229 Anything works but I lean more towards Chronographs. By the end of this year, I hope to build a collection of 2 smartwatches and 2 more chronographs. I know it isn't a lot but that's the plan. So yes, your reviews do matter.
@@syedamanat6241 thats awesome dude! Will definately keep that I'm mind. Just got a vintage seiko in from 1970, would you be interested in a video about that watch?
Why are Ingersoll watches so cheap now? I got the Linden for 99.00 and they said it retails for 500???!? How is this possible?
That is a good question! I think it has to do with the "cheap" chinese movement inside. These chinese movement dont have the best reputation and will depreciate
Nice vid
Спасибо за обзор!
This line is an alternative to the Orient Bambino line, which I really do like. Can't find the Bambino new for under $100 certainly not with a display case back. I look for great deals and found an Ingersoll New Haven variant with a rose gold case and white dial with medium brown leather croc strap for... wait for it... drumroll... $35!!! Ta Daaaaaa plus shipping and tax. Tally was ~$47. I think it hits most of the vintage styling elements. I recently found a Rotary vintage style dress watch that is virtually identical to the Ingersoll New Haven. YES, many (most) watch manufacturers use Chinese companies to stay competitive and survive as a brand name. At least the movement is Japanese from a good company. I think it's a great dress watch, especially for the money! The box, thick book, and stainless steel paperweight are nice but they are in a cardboard box in my closet-only good resale later on.
£330? Hard pass. Get an Orient Bambino and save £220. Is it really English? Pretty sure it's owned by a Hong Kong company and they're made in China. The '1892' and English/US heritage is next to meaningless at this point.
You are right! The box made me finally decide to get one...
Great choice, the box is a great addition to the piece!
I just ordered mine today, it is an absolutely Beautiful watch thank you for the video and keep up the great work 👍.
Thank you! Congratulations!
Ayoo
Is it possible to adjust the bracelet by myself or do i have to go to a store?
Fully adjustable, just use a blunt knife, open up this small latch inside the locking mechanism, then you can slide it back and forth
@@danielswatchcollection9229 nice, thanks for your fast reply!
@@sesc1205 no problem, have a great day!
Great video. One suggestion: know how to work with your camera’s focus. The watch you want to show off was out of focus / blurred. But otherwise, great start!
It's a very average, underwhelming watch with a shitty Miyota 8215 movement, the same movement that has a piss poor reputation for stutter and failure. Get you facts right!
I just picked one up for $68.00 brand new in the box couldn’t believe it. Great watch 👍🏻
That is great to hear! What a deal. Hope you enjoy it
Hey you did not show the lap timer function and the 1/10 second timer that stops after 1 minute then moves to the correct position when you stop the second hand! For your information this watch uses the cheaper of ETAs chronograph movements which costs around £50. having said that the accuracy cannot be faulted - mine has lost 5 seconds since March. The sapphire crystal is not coated and sometimes can be quite reflective. I bought the black dial with the leather strap as it is the only one with fluorescent hour markers. I added a medium price stainless bracelet like you have from ebay. I also quite slim wrists and the short lug to lug distance makes it wonderfully comfortable. This is my 3rd Tissot - I think they are great value for money.
Sorry i did not add everything in the video, im very new to this youtube business but im glad you are enjoying the watch!
Sales pitch
Sorry, I don't understand what you mean?
Is the “glass” on the watch made of sapphire like the rest of their watches?
It is! Best in the business
Daniel's Watch Collection do you reckon this would be a good watch to get my 15 year old nephew? Or should I go for something more casual or minimalistic?
@@noodlesandsteak very good question, do you know that he likes the design of this watch?
Daniel's Watch Collection I showed him this watch as well as this other Armani watch (which I understand is more of a “fashion” watch) and he said he really liked them both, but he doesn’t like leather straps on watches at all which is why I thought this Tissot watch would’ve been a better purchase.
@@noodlesandsteak hi, sorry for the late response. With this tissot you will receive brilliant build quality, a movement straight out of Switzerland, the watch capital of the world and the brilliant scratch resistance of sapphire. If you opt for the armani you will most likely get a cheaply made chinese watch with a huge mark up because of the brand. Armani have no heritage or expertise making watches, while tissot has been making watches since 1853! I would highly recommend d the tissot! A little bonus is that tissots will rise in value ever so slightly so you can sell it for the same or a bit more than you bought it for!
HÅRE HEITE DET DÅ MEEGET OPPEGÅENDE
Whole video is out of focus :(
Sorry, my camera is not the best. Im a startup
Would you recommend this watch? I’m stuck on this watch or a Bulova precisenist chrono watch
Rene Rodriguez Oh absolutely I recommend this watch. I have worn it non-stop for a year, and I still fall in love every time I look at my wrist
Daniel's Watch Collection thanks for the info 🙏🏼
Bulova has zero chances to compete with tissot, buy tissot no doubt!
