I was born an raised in Dade city. This is their job dude. Night patrol in out tiny town isn't like night patrol in a big city. Plus they usually sit somewhere where they have a view of the main streets an can also watch the places most likely to get roobed. Crime in pasco happens more in the rural areas than the cities. Thats why you see the Pasco County Sheriff's Deputies patrolling.

are they really walkie talkies if they are mixed cellular and ham radios ? The radio's actually also have laws you must watch for where as walkie talkies you can troll. Walkie talkies have limited radio length yes, but they are useable where phones may not be same with radios. Fact it has a sim card means it's more phone than ham radio or walkie talkies but may have walkie talkie add on. Honestly if going sim card just use a phone at least besides government spying it's private.
