There are a lot of on point observations in this. Especially the point on this movie looking like a Marvel movie. While I'm not a big Zack Snyder fan, those movies had a very distinct visual style and that is necessary when superhero movie fatigue is so severe. "But its like that in the comics" Are they gonna hand out comics in the line and make people read them before they get the ticket? The movie needs to stand on its own and be distinct and be serious.

DC isn’t inherently dark, but yes they have *some* gritty characters in their forefront. Robin, Zatanna, GL, Flash, Aquaman…..? Literally none of those are dark and edgy. This is sadly the effect Snyder has had on people…..That being said, the average DC comic book you pick up at a store could/will be just as wacky and silly as Marvel. So I’m not so sure I follow your point about it looking too much like Marvel….also they can’t just introduce every single member of the JL or JSA off rip, or else it completely clouds Superman . Having a few side characters won’t diminish HIS screentime; Marvel has introduced their characters the same way and no one’s complained.

My Mom went through a hard time and couldn't find work for a year. I talked her into trying to get government assistance. Her pride wouldn't let her do it and I told her that's what it was created for to help someone temporarily when they are down looking for work. Np, it is not all about consistency. It is about substance and meaningful lyrics that when studied and consumed can make a difference in the life of an individual. You are correct that Tom has consistency in his productions, but that is only a part of the whole. Tom seeks truth and reality, that is a journey and strategy.
