Bottle cutting using the Gryphon C-40 Tall Diamond Band Saw
A demonstration of cutting various bottles using the Gryphon C-40 Tall Diamond Band Saw. After cutting, the edges are polished using the Gryphon Wet Belt Sander. For the bottles shown, the edges were sanded using the 120 grit belt followed by 400 grit belt. To get the high polish shown, the edges were polished using the Cork polishing belt.

Realistically how many bottles can be cut before you have to change blades...
This looks awesome. Wonder how big a rock it will cut? Think I will stick with a slab saw for that and use this as a kick ass trim saw. Would just like something to clean up some bigger rocks before slabbing
My blade will not stay on the bottom track what should I do
Most importantly...DO NOT MAKE ANY ADJUSTMENTS TO THE BOTTOM WHEEL, THIS SHOULD ALWAYS REMAIN FACTORY SET. First thing I would check is the band on the wheel. Both the bottom and top wheels have a polyurethane bands on/over them that keeps a grip on the blade, these bands are thin and transparent so perhaps the band has come off due to age. You can purchase a replacement Band Kit to refit the wheels if they are still in good condition or a complete Upper or Lower Wheel that come complete. If this is not the case and you can't get the blade to stabilize using the instructions in this video, it is highly likely that your blade is slightly bent/out of round and needs to be replaced.
Within a month our saws lower pulley had lost outward tilt. I loosened the plastic backing nut 7/16 size(it is snug but just wiggle the wrench onto it and back it off). Grab the knurled head of the plastic threaded bolt and turn till you see the pulley tilting outward a bit. Hold the knurled head of the bolt tightly and snug up the backing nut and put blade back on and adjust top tension if needed.

Should the bottom wheel be rotating freely? Having an issue with my machine. Drive wheel is working but the blade isn't moving with the wheel.
The bottom wheel is free spinning so I am guessing the polyurethane band has come off. You can purchase a Band Kit to replace missing/damaged bands and bushings.
Meus parabéns! !!! De todas as técnicas que eu já vi, éssa é a melhor superou todas. É arame diamantado na serra circular ? Aqui no Brasil não tem éssa técnica de corte.

You had to drink all that Jack Daniels first. It would have been a more amusing video, if you had shown that. I have a Gryphon glass saw with a reciprocating blade. This band saw model seems a lot faster. I made a stained glass window with my saw (from the art nouveau poster "Motocycles Comiot"). It took 1½ years to make.
How would you recommend polishing the curved cuts on the JD bottle?
We have some extra-fine (600 grit) grinding bits that would be able to get into the small curves that are shown on the JD bottle. They would leave a very nice edge, but it would be frosty rather than the crystal clear surface than you get with a polishing belt on the wet belt sander. To get a crystal clear edge you would need a small polishing wheel of some sort. A lapidary supply dealer could undoubtedly provide something that would fit into the small space.
