Lynford Water is an area of flooded gravel pits in the Wissey valley, which includes an area of sandy beach. 60,000 years ago it was a very different place: a chilly, open landscape with different wildlife and a population of Neanderthal humans, the evidence of which was found in an excavation in 2002. Wild Camped in Thetford Forest twice and planning to go there again in very near future. Of course I left no trace, as I came I left leaving everything as it looked I never been there. Next week, maybe tomorrow or a bit later (though it is said it will be raining from Tuesday/Wednesday) I really like Thetford forest as it is closest forest to the place I live at the moment and I know of that I can secretly wild camp, enjoy nature and feel comfortable.
Super video, thanks for uploading. It's one oi the places that I want to swim in in. How deep is it please, deeper being better because it keeps the water cooler and less chance of blue-green algae.
You always find in these type of hotels the entertainment at night is poor.

Yeh it's pretty big, we were lucky we were on the second plane to go back to the island after covid. I can imagine it gets way busier.

Going here on the 13th. What excursions would you recommend? Looking at taking a couple of quads out with the family. Also any places you recommend going to?
Great! have fun. Sal Rei is their city, its about 10 mins by taxi from the hotel, worth having a look there's some little shops there, it is quiet there but nice to have a look at and meet the locals. We did the sandboarding excursion out at Rabil which was good. Quads we didn't go on but they looked good. Down the bottom of the island is Santa Monica Beach which is in the world top ten apparently, worth visiting there, you can do that on a quad or jeep excursion. There is a shipwreck up the North of the island but apart from that it's a very quiet island, they're just starting to open again so there was no boat trips when we went as they hadn't got licences back but it may be different when you go now. Enjoy the sun ☀️👍

You should deffenetily try Blue Marlin restaurant in Sal Rei they have great lobsters, but keep in mind that you need to make a reservation, beacuse it only contains 4 tables. I would reccomend renting quads and exploring the island. Santa Monica beach is a must. We always spend most of our days in boa vista surf club on Praia Estoril, which is a surfing club and a chiling zone. Try exploring as much as possible and not staying inside the resort. I really enjoyed Ojo do mar, which is a hidden pond in the middle of nowhere (you should probably take a taxi to take you there). it is great for jumping and swimming, but it takes you an hour of walking. these are some stuff that i find really enjoyable. have fun. eat local food

Yes, book a few of the a la carte restaurants when you arrive 👍 they get booked up pretty quick. Take in some of the island if you can with a few excursions off site, it's a great place with amazing friendly people, enjoy 👍
