New Bike Bargrips
Replacing the handlebar grips on my commuting mountain bike.
Shows the unboxing and installation of the Decathlon "Grips Sport 900".
The packing documentation is shockingly bad as they include no fitment information.
These fit 21mm bars and are about 125mm long.

Mountain bike chain replacement
Переглядів 262 роки тому
In this video I use a chain breaker tool to remove an old chain from a 5 speed mountain bike. The new chain is installed using the supplied quick link. 1:28 Breaker tool 3:10 Chain path 5:25 Threading the new chain 6:33 Installing the chain joint
Bike freewheel has lost its tick
Переглядів 622 роки тому
Replacing the freewheel cassette on this classic 5 speed mountain bike. The tool I used for removing the cassette is called a freewheel tool, it's a spline drive on one side and a large nut on the other. In the past I have used an impact gun on really stuck ones.
electrolysis - electrolyte comparision
Переглядів 972 роки тому
A longer video using a car battery to conduct electrolysis, this time using two different mediums. Soda crystals and washing powder are compared side by side. Already knowing that washing powder works, but are soda crystals better?
Bike shifter cable replacement
Переглядів 732 роки тому
Replacing the rear gear shift cable on a mountain bike. The cable sheath damaged years ago where it passes the head stock let in water, which enabled the rusting process to begin. After enough oxidation has occurred the is no longer sufficient strength to resist the compressive forces in operation. The cable becomes shorter reducing the gear selection range, until eventually it's on the end stop.
USB Fairy Light fix

Cheap USB fairy lights came a cropper to some hamfisted unplugging. Let's make them happy again.
Mountain bike mudguard reinforcement
Переглядів 862 роки тому
A simple video where I repair a mudguard bracket of an old school mountain bike. Fettling a bit of aluminium to add additional support. Please, enjoy the new GoPro9; I hope that is better for that audio with the Media Mod compared with my Canon S100 which has sadly passed away.
Fixing the Perfect Fit Roller Blind & window handle modification
Переглядів 4,2 тис.2 роки тому
In this video I install the correct length sides following the order mix up as seen in part 1. I also show how I modified the window handle to remove the interference of the closing stop against the side rail.
Is it a perfect fit roller blind?

Perfect Fit roller blinds, how to measure install, and what they don't tell you on the website. Here is my account of installing a set of Perfect Fit roller blinds in the lounge.

For a minute there I thought that board was toast.
turnoff that stupid music....cant a word you are saying 🤦🏻♂
Can't hear instructions properly because the annoying music is TOO LOUD! Please either TURN OFF the music or STOP whispering and speak louder and clearer.
Great but lose the daft music. Thank you , will give it a go!
Absolutely fantastic
Pleased you found this version which I re-edited without the music overlay :)
If you have access to a small soldering iron, set it to 200℃ and go a bit back and forth over the glued areas on the flat flex cable while applying moderate pressure.
Turn the music down.
How did you get the cone off with those bricks in the way?
There was just enough space to get the cone off the end of the bar - it was tight. I can't remember if we had to slacken both ends to let the bar float in order to gain that little extra.
will this cut a 100mm fence post in one pass ?
No, It'll get 3inch in a single pass, or 78mm if you prefer
Very good, valeu.
A few of these were imported to Canada back in the day. My Dad has one that was used by a sawmill carpentry shop, but got its shear bushing shattered when whoever was running it jammed the blade into something. He salvaged it from the trash and I am hoping to repair it. The plan is to use epoxy to replace the ruined shear bushing.
It’s not connected
0:21 Buzzing
That's the Audio on the camera microphone, it's all the way through the video, I just muted it when not talking.
CM927 buzzing when has a broken screen
The thermostat is not buzzing, it's the camera microphone
Hi I am only getting tension on the left side the right does not seem to roll up any ideas?
can not hear with nurve racking music
1:19 Looks like 2G
Broken CM927
Is stupid music is so loud you can't hear what he's saying, what moron made this video!!!
Hi I am tensioning mine but only the left side is tensioning the right is not spooling any ideas?
Has the cotter pin fallen out. Both spools should be firmly attached to the shaft. (probably a bit late now....)
extremly enoying music
very helpful video but overcome by stupid music
Have you ever done this on a larger scale? Like cast iron pans?
Largest thing I've done fitted in about 5 litres
why music overlaid? i want to listen to you and what your saying..
Annoying music in the background, 👎
I have posted a version without the music. BTW everyone who comments here to say the music is bad on this video causes youtube to promote it further, complementing the other video will help fix that ;)
@@mygrandadsshed The music is terrible! :-)
Nice work. Very helpful thanks. (The music is a bit of a distraction)
Merci beaucoup , en 10 minutes j'ai pu réparer mon thermostat .
work very well, thx from italy!
Thank you. Clear and precise instructions. I tried the toaster 3 times, in the end I had to use a hair dryer.
I don't fully understand how this worked but it did! Thanks!!
Are you able to repair my lcd
no need resistor? still working up to now? how many hours light up? gets warm?
There was never a resistor in the body of the connector - I just repaired what there. Still working today - but I don't know how many hours they have been on. At only 180mA spread over the whole string it does not get warm (that's about 1/3 the power of an external HDD).
good vid ,very annoying music
Here is a version of the video that has no music. ua-cam.com/video/7xFc-bSWf-k/v-deo.html
Useful but music almost drowned out the voice
Just tried this on an Emerson 1F95EZ. It worked pretty damn good. Not 100% perfect, but pretty close. Thanks.
Nice video, thanks god you posted a new one without this music. If you can speak louder it would be nice too. But thanks for your video! Helped a lot!
did you use a car battery, or a car battery charger title says car battery, but the crocodile clips looks like you actually used a battery charger ???
A car battery. You can use a battery charger, but it can't be a smart one. Intelligent battery chargers mess around with pulsing the voltage/current. You can charge the battery while doing the electrolysis as it acts as a large capacitor and smooths out any clever tricks. I've also used a bench power supply, which lets you directly see the rate.
@@mygrandadsshed ok, I successfully used two car batteries and it work fine with the 24volts for me
The LRV does not associate with MP4 file. And I am doing it the way you are. And there is no "P" on the thumbnail. And when I render the movie it is i proxy quality and not the original mp4 file.
I've just had a quick look at the release notes for later versions, and I can see they have tried to fix the behaviour since the end of 2021. I've not yet had chance to try them out - life has gotten in the way ....
I have to work on my multimeter, which has some ghost segments. Thank you.
Do you have the measurement of how far the blind frame protrudes from the window frame?
10mm
Can you tell us what power measuring device you used? The small white one?
It is a KCX-017
Honeywell it’s shit 💩💩💩💩💩
How about either talking louder or having the background music volume lower? Do you actually watch the videos you make?
How about you read the description?
@@mygrandadsshed HAHAHA Fair enough!
@@mygrandadsshed Don't get me wrong it is a really interesting video.
There’s not much more satisfying than getting something working that was previously broken
Since recording this video I have lost a few sections again, it happens. Next year might be time for a better video.
Nice video with good clear detailing totally ruined by stupid music playing as I am trying to listen to you. Ditch the supermarket music your video/ comments are what we are listening to.(please)….
Sorry for that. Here is a version of the video that has no music. ua-cam.com/video/7xFc-bSWf-k/v-deo.html The link should be visible as a note card and in the description - why don't people find it and comment on the 'no music version' saying "wow, that's so much better than the other one" which would promote it up the search rankings?
That music killed it for ma - gave up watching
I can understand that, which is why there is a link with no music in the description and numerous other comments.
Hello, maybe you can help me, I replaced the damaged lcd display of my Boafeng UV-6R. When I install a new lcd, it has a high contrast, only when the battery is low does it allow reading. Thanks
